Leilehua High School was having a Spring Fest and Winter Fest. Employee at school invited small businesses via IG to be vendors to sell their merchandise. Organizer planned the event well with a map of where vendors going to be in front of classrooms. They sent out emails and promoted vendors via Instagram. On day of event, hours are from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. There was DJ who played kpop music and had at video of kpop groups. Beside kpop vendors, there were vendors inside the cafeteria and food truck vendors on the grassy in front of the school. There were alot of people who came from town and other parts of the island to support their friends who were vendors. This was a great event and hope that the organizer will plan to have this event again next year.

Leilehua High School was the site of the 2023 Oahu Interscholastic Association Wrestling OIA Championships. This high school is nestled in beautiful lush Wahiawa heights and boy is it chilly especially on a rainy day. I guess this is why this area is so beautifully green. The staff and students are very welcoming, friendly and proud of what their school has to offer especially their wrestling team. This was a great location for this event because there is ample parking, accessible restrooms and easy to locate. The concession stand had plenty of delicious foods, treats and hot coffee and cocoa. The gym is well maintained and ideal for this tournament and although only one side of the bleachers were accessible the students and guest made the most of it. Congratulations to all the talented athletes, patient coaches and their loving friends and families.

I graduated in 2013 and Leilehua opened many doors for me that would have otherwise been closed. They had the most amazing art, photography, English, journalism, and psychology teachers. Their sports coaches cared immensely about their members individually and the school is highly competitive both among peers and with other schools. I loved my time there.
