Surfing the Nations is an organization that is an inspiration to many around the world. It is a community where people can volunteer and help with distributions like the Hawaiian Food Bank. The directors put heart and soul into the vision, undertaking huge transition projects to clean up places for the keiki and all people. Those who have lived the STN lifestyle describe it as home, a place that prepared them for a life of responsibility and accountability. People are given more responsibility and trust as they earn it, leading initiatives like Feeding The Hungry and surf days. The ambiance created benefits all, fostering an ohana family feeling where many feel grateful and never want to leave. It is a place that passes valuable lessons to young people. While no organization is perfect, the focus is on the good that benefits all, with a hope that this model can be implemented in more places.
This organization is an inspiration to many around the world. I hope the group in Somaliland are having the time of their life’s as they are passing valuable lessons to many young people, that otherwise would not have the opportunity. #Berbera Somaliland.
