This is one of those authentic local joints that can be hard to find amidst all the touristy joints. Bill and Reba Martin are extremely welcoming and the dark roast natural process coffee was some the best I have tasted in my long life. Robust, but not at all bitter, and more pleasant than Sumatran. They grow it and process it right there. The power was out, so they couldn't grind any, so they sold me some ground coffee at the whole-bean price. They also hosted us around the store, which is in a cavernous old industrial building, with flashlights. When we were done, Bill showed me the roaster and then Reba took us behind the store for a look at the coffee and cacao beans laid out on tables and concrete to ferment. They also had old sugar mill equipment, that her Filipino community used to operate. She was rightfully proud. A real treasure and the highlight of the day.

In the center of Waialua, on the site of a former sugar factory, there is a surf shop, a surfboard factory (PYZEL!), a soap factory, and Island X Hawaii at the far end.First of all, you can buy pure Oahu Waialua coffee beans here. Even on Oahu, Kona and Kauai coffee are the main ones. It's hard to buy pure Oahu beans, but here you can buy pure Oahu coffee. That's why my family buys coffee here as a souvenir (for myself). You can taste it, and if you like it, you can buy it. Some of the staff can speak Japanese, so if English is difficult, it might be a good idea to find someone who can speak Japanese. So, just before the coronavirus pandemic, he said, "I'm going to work at an airport counter. I wonder what happened after that...".Beans can be purchased including raw beans. There are several types of beans, depending on how they are washed, how they are roasted, and the shape of the beans (peaberry). There is also chocolate (this is also super delicious!). Cacao is also grown here. If the time is right, you can see the process of fermenting cacao beans! It seems that vinegar is used to ferment cacao, and it has a strong smell...Be careful if you don't like strong smells lolReturning to the topic of coffee, Waialua coffee has a different taste and acidity depending on how it is roasted, washed, and dried, but overall it has a fairly clean taste and no off-flavours.I like it so much that I personally want to import it and drink it all the time in Japan. As I wrote earlier, this is one of the few shops where 100% Oahu beans return. It's perfect for Oahu souvenirs, so come on!(The store also sells various souvenirs, so please check it out!)

Love this shop for souvenirs and trinkets. They also have a shave ice stand with lots of options to chose from. You can do a chocolate tour, call in advance. They have samples of local coffee and chocolate samples. Located at the old sugar mill. Check in and get a free sticker. I enjoy visiting when in the waialua so much goodies and treasures to find here.

This was such a cool little place! We were on our way back driving from The Dole Plantation (aka tourist trap) and stumbled upon a sign leading to this store. As we were looking around, Reba approached us and asked if we wanted a tour of the coffee and chocolate estate. We saw staff sorting beans and washing beans, the holding containers, press containers, etc. Not knowing what we were going to see, it was very authentic and Reba told us everything there is to know of the coffee and chocolate process and history. This was the real deal. We were even offered various samples of coffees and chocolate! This is definitely a must see! Reba even recommended a few local places to see and eat and they were delicious! I'm so glad we stopped. You will find lots of souvenirs, coffee, chocolate, novelty items and more. There are also other locally owned and operated shops in that same area. They do have shaved ice here and I hear it is the best around. We didn't have any only because we had coffee and chocolate samples from our tour. Shop local!

Our tour guide Chris took us to this spot for coffee. Man was he on point. Coffee was so flavorful and smooth. The employees fantastic. We even met the owner who treated us like family. Bought so much coffee and other items to take home. Great "real" spot!!!
