Had a small issue with one of my packages and went over to the post office. Andy (the manager) was fantastic and super helpful. He was nice enough to meet me at the parcel locker outside my house within 5 minutes and solved the issue. He even gave me his personal number Incase it happens again. Super nice guy and an asset to the postal service! This guy needs a raise.Thank you again Andy!Michelle and Leslie are also great employees and are very kind and helpful. I’ve seen several negative reviews from people blaming the staff for not having enough people working. There are limited positions filled all over the island and it’s not their fault. Every time I have come in they are doing the best job they can.

We shouldn't be getting the amount of pink re-delivery slips we are. If your packages or certified mail aren't being delivered to your home, file a personnel complaint on USPS website by clicking Help > Contact Us > Personnel > Complaint.Rural Carriers and highway contractors are paid to deliver oversized parcels to the door. It's part of the evaluation of the route. If there's a problem with that evaluation, it needs to be taken up within USPS and not at the expense of a customers time and trouble for not getting parcels and certified mail to the door.In addition, if the mail was delivered as intended it would lessen the amount of traffic at the Paniolo intersection.Let's get some change started. Here is the official USPS policy."Parcels are to be taken out for delivery on the first trip after receipt. If a parcel is too large for the box, the supplier is required to attempt delivery to the customer's residence if on the line of travel, or within 1 mile on the line of travel and retrace totransact business, when necessary, to affect delivery. (Dismount, if necessary; see 333.4.) If the parcel cannotbe delivered on the first trip, leave a PS Form 3849 in the customer's box. A second attempt to deliver should be made if the customer desires."

Order a product from Amazon. The package arrived at Waikoloa PO and they immediately returned the package back to the sender after a few minutes of arriving at the post office. Complete idiots!!! Lua Kula street FTA is literally .5 miles away!!!

Terrible beyond comprehension! No respect for their customers at all. Today at about 2 PM have waited for 1 hour in line for my general delivery packages that had arrived at the office at 8:31 am, according to the USPS's own tracking records. In the end, been sent home empty handed, after being told straight in my face that yes, the packages must have been received and "should be there, somewhere in that big pile, still unsorted" but the office did not had time/man power to handle them. No excuse, nothing. I want everybody to know that this today's situation is not an exception. It's typical. It's been going like that for almost a decade, at least since I bought a vacation property in Waikoloa. For which, BTW, I pay 3 times the amout of money in property taxes versus a local - go check the rates on line. In exchage for this, in this town of perhaps 10,000 souls, USPS does not deliver the mail at home (with some "special exceptions"), the likelihood to have your packages delivered in time is less than 50% (about a year ago I had one important package for which I paid $300 for the delivery alone late by 27 days!). Of course, there is a 10 percent chance that your Amazon sent package gets simply lost! In this corner of the world, otherwise called "paradise", indolence, incompetence and corruption are rampant at all levels of the local society, businesses and government here in Hawaii. I haven't visited the town's mayor yet "to have a sincere discussion",over a $10 small cofee, but so far, the Waikoloa postal office is the one that beats all the records hands down. What a disgrace!Notes added 2 days later:1. In the last 2 weeks 2 Amazon packages sent with USPS have been lost. This company as a whole,, USPS, got completely out of control, the opposite of what used to be 30..40 years ago when it was running as a Swiss watch2. Yet another unpolite rejection of delivery happened to me on Saturday close to the office closing hour. Got eventually my item on the next Monday .

This post office is absolutely pathetic. We put in a temporary change of address to forward for 4 months. Mail was forwarded the first month, then nothing after. Tried calling their phone number numerous times and no one picks up. Poor customer service.
