Upon first contact, staff wasn't really friendly. It was also hard to hear guide's voice and instructions were said so fast that I kinda just gave up trying to make sense of it. Guide eventually warmed up a little. I was with a group of boisterous, loud people who kept wanting to go faster. And for those who do want to run the horses, they need to take a separate class in arena. We do a slow walk on a rocky path that seemingly all horses stumbled on. This was a good way to see some of the "wildlife", such as goats, cows, donkeys and other fauna closer up, rather than speeding by in car on the highway. It was basically a straight path, out and back, lasting about an hour, costing $115. I think guide said horses range from 3 to 17 years old, and some are more spirited than others.I probably wouldn't do this again, as there are more exciting ways to spend one's time and money. But it makes one realize that there are cowboys and cowgirls in Hawaii, too.
