Played on 5/10/23 the greens were super slow, but the conditions were great. Finished 18 in just under 3 hours.

Had a fantastic time golfing this course. The views were completely different than I expected. Incredible Mountain View’s with almost every hole looking at a volcano. It’s the cheapest I found in the area, but the fairways, greens, and tees were in incredible shape.

Very nice and affordable course. I recommend bringing an extra sand wedge just to hit out of the bunkers. Very rocky is all.

I could have tripped coming out of the door of our rental and rolled down the hill to the clubhouse of The Village Course. This course had plenty of variety with doglegs and mild elevation changes. Throwing in 25 mph winds just made the round more interesting. With only one group in front of me that let me play through, I stayed in a rhythm for the entire round and finished in a quick 2 hours making it back to the house before most had woken up yet for breakfast. My $122 round was prepaid on GolfNow and check-in was a breeze. Warm up balls ($5) don't come with your fee and there was no GPS on the cart. From the whites, the course plays 6150 with a slope rating of 123. The par 3 176 yard third hole was interesting with the wind dead in my face and playing over water. I over-clubbed 40 yards and barely made it on. The wind died down after I made the turn and the back played much easier for me. The 450 yard par 5 18th stuck out as a high risk/reward hole as the front of the green is guarded by water but you can definitely get there in two with a properly placed long tee shot. The few interactions I had with the staff were friendly and helpful. The course was in pretty good shape with some rough spots here and there. The sand in the bunkers is rocky and most of the greens seemed to slope back to front rolling on the slow side.

I recently played 9 out of 18 holes on this course, since our cart died. Thank goodness we were only on Hole 10 when we noticed the battery dying or we would have been stranded on the course. Never saw a ranger the entire time. Had difficulty finding successive holes as they were very poorly marked. Marker was usually located near the hole, not close to preceding hole that was just finished. Would not have received course instructions had we not deliberately just sat in cart until someone gave us some info about water, bathrooms, green flags, etc. Pro shop did not greet us with smiling faces. Seemed annoyed that we showed up to play. All in all, not a good experience, but glad we now know what this course is like. On a sunny day, golf is always a good thing.

Great layout but the greens were very slow, bunkers were horrible, crashed rock, no sand . Reasonable rates, good rental clubs and friendly staff.

I have played the majority of courses on the island and this course is in my top 3. It’s priced very fair, especially for Hawaii. The course is in great condition… the tee boxes, fairways and roughs were very well taken care of. The greens had just been aerated so it made putting tough but I still had a blast.
