I want to start by saying everyone I encountered was extremely sweet and kind! The people were amazing and it is absolutely not their fault that the spa experience is altered due to the spa being renovated. When I booked my spa appointment, I knew that the spa grande was closed due to the renovation. It was disappointing, but still wanted to try it out! I booked a pedi and message for our trip. I booked a lanai massage, but I was called the next day to say they are not doing them. Again, a little disappointed but I was fine. The area they have created is a little shop and then they are using hotel rooms as spa rooms. Unfortunately, due to the spa being redone, all spa amenities are halted. Therefore, you have a little waiting room with some tea, drinks, snacks etc My pedi was done by the sweetest lady, but she had issues with operating the light for gel. She also didn't know I had gel, but it was confirmed when I checked in. She had to call to confirm and seemed really confused on me wanting gel. She had to redo my nails multiple times and asked me to inform her if the device hit my nail. I did but after several times, I didn't because I felt bad. My pedi just honestly became a reapplication of the gel polish due to it being taken off when she tried to place the light. It is a little bumpy, but I'm fine. For my massage, it was fantastic, but she forgot to apply my face mask. She felt so bad when I asked at the end if I was still receiving one and she gave me a mask to do at home. I went to the little store and they took it off my bill and gave me the mask to still take home. Again, the people here are amazing and so so sweet. I can not say that enough. Overall though, I was a little disappointed. You still pay a high price with the lack of the amenities and it being one of the best spas in the world. I would come back, but when the actual spa is open.

I was on vacation with my family when my wife surprised me with a "Grande classic massage," on one of our last days of the trip. I've had plenty of massages before so I generally knew what to expect. Well, this was different. Tony my therapist was amazing. Without me saying a word he knew the areas I hold the most tension (neck, right shoulder, and my feet). That's easy to assume a therapist would know, but he really was able focus on those spots without being painful. And then it was followed up by a hot towel on those areas as part of the massage. Really next level stuff. Really really worth it.

The staff was amazing. So kind and attentive, they made everything so relaxing. The facility is a bit outdated, and because of Covid the spa testing area is closed. The prices are almost the same as the four seasons with less amenities and options.

Oh my goodness... I have been gone from Hawaii for almost 3 weeks now. I am at still dreaming about the most amazing prenatal massage I have ever had in my life: I work in a spa and have received hundreds of treatments, but hands down this massage was out of this world. Elysia has the hands of an angel!! I have never felt more relaxed than I did during that truly magical treatment/experience. I live in California and would seriously consider flying there for that massage just because it felt so amazing and comforting. 100 mins was such a luxury and I don't think I could go back to anything less. Let's just talk about the 20 min head massage I got. I caught myself snoring like 3 different times. I feel like in treatments therapists tend to ask what the problem areas are and what you want more focus on but then never address them for long enough. Elysia not only listened to me but she listened to what my body needed. I am forever grateful for the magical massage magician. She set the bar super high!!!

My husband got us a couples massage while we were staying at the Grand Wailea for our honeymoon. I got the honey macadamia nut indulgence treatment and it was amazing! We were both very pleased with our service and will definitely be doing another spa day on our next visit!

Massage at SPA GRANDE:- Not worth of money you spend here and not a best massage they offered. The displayed menu was different from what they did. Just some hand oiling they did and 100 minutes of my time waste, me and my friends from other rooms who took the massages are also not satisfied.

The time spent before my massage was fantastic! We booked a duo deep tissue massage for our honeymoon and my wife's massage was great but mine was terrible. I've had a lot of massages and this was one of the worst. It was not deep tissue. My wife's person asked her tons of questions and throughout did the same, mine asked me a few and I asked for my back and neck to be worked on and he spent a very short time there and not to mention he had fingernails that where very painful. It was a very unpleasant experience. It seems that when he asked if the pressure was okay and I would say deeper he would go lighter. There was no one at the front desk to tell how terrible it was and spending $500 should have had better service.

Incredible experience at Spa Grande. From the minute you arrive, the staff makes you feel at ease. First hour is spent in the hydratherme area - lovely to help you get into the spa mindset. This portion of the spa experience is gender segregated as it is clothing optional. Most women wore bathing suits the day I went (I did not), but you really should do what is most comfortable for you. I would say not wearing a suit improves the experience, especially the exfoliation by an attendant before your treatment. I next did the macadamia nut indulgence massage and body wrap. Literally the best spa treatment I have ever had, and I am an experienced spa-goer. My treatment specialist (Allison) even rolled up little hand towels to place under outer pecs to relieve pressure on my chest while laying on my stomach. I get massages monthly and no one has ever done this for me, despite always mentioning my discomfort (those darn massage tables should take into account busts!). Allison was a healer and a genius with her hands. I finished my treatment with a pedicure expertly done by my manicurist Andrea. Despite being the last appointment of the day she was methodical and took her time to make the pedicure perfect. I very highly recommend this spa - it is well worth the $$$ if you want to feel truly relaxed on your vacation! I want to note that some people say this spa is old/dated. I would say it is classic and elegant. It clearly wasn't built yesterday, but it has been nicely maintained. Everything is clean and in working order.

What can I say, Mia and the rest of the staff at this spa were beyond a 5 star. I spent 6 hours here on my birthday enjoying the best spa experience I have ever had. The views, amazing. The facility breathtakingly beautiful and so clean and well maintained. The hot stone massage and package for 110 was bliss. The 1 hour before and after treatment in the sauna and healing waters was blissful. Not sure how anyone can give this place less than 5 stars.

Went to the Spa today it was fabulous!! The whole experience is like no other spa in Maui The water rituals are unique and amazing. I had a 100 minute massage and it was excellent. Then I had a mani/pedi that was incredible! I can't wait to go back.

Ok so they have a plush place. Ok so they're super friendly. They have healing waters to soak in. What? Yea it sounds odd. I felt like I was in John Hammonds version of Themyscira. He forgot the Amazonian women. But my massage therapist smashed my knots with grace and ease. Bam. Pow. Thank you

I took a "mental health day" today because well, work sucks and life is weird. And you know what I did? LET ME TELL YOU I took my chubby a** down to Spa Grande and I walked around there in all my glory with nothing but a swim suit bottom on. I soaked in all the magical pools and steamed in the eucalyptus room and THEN...... I got an hour long hot "pohaku stone" massage and it was pretty much the best thing that has ever happened to me. I've gotten a few massages there, but HUNNNAYYYY them hot rocks all over this achin body of mine was NEXT LEVEL. I also got a gold face mask to get rid of these raccoon eyes. Didn't work but I still feel fancy AF. 10/10 would recommend.
