She can custom make pieces as well as tweak some things right there. My daughters love their bracelets.”

Let's go back to 2019 when I first went window shopping at Hidlgund. There was a flawless something-carat pink diamond, priced at $650,000. Yes, correct. My husband said, you can have the house, or the ring. I had a moment with the diamond and continued to admire the sparkle in the store. Mind you, I had no intention of purchasing, yet the SA allowed me to grace my hands with this epic gem. It was stunning. Fast forward to this week. Never one to pass up a good sparkle session, my friend and I walked down from the Four Seasons Lobby Lounge to, as I say, walk off the alcohol. The SA for the evening, Alison, greeted us with a big smile and hello! I asked about the pink diamond, which she recalled and said had sold. Lucky! We did a spin of the showroom, looking at Emeralds, Diamonds, Sapphires, and more. Again, I had no plans on buying anything, until these darling ruby studs caught my attention. I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of heart-shaped ruby earrings for 3 years. True story. These spoke to me. I tried them on. I fell in love. Alison, offered a generous discount but I asked if we could go a little lower. She said it required a call to the owner. She called, the owner agreed, we had a sale! These earrings are my gift and reward to myself for a year (2021) of hard work, in the midst of a pandemic. Treat 'yo self. Why yes, yes I will.”
