Lately the postal service has been terrible! Almost every package has been late, very late, or damaged or lost. So UNDEPENDABLE! A friend mailed me a package for my birthday in November and I still haven’t gotten it because it got sent back to sender twice and everytime he has to repay postage. Once tracking alerted me it’s in my mailbox but the postman said it never reached Maui. I will say that once I asked for it to be investigated, I immediately got a call back and the next day, a full report. That was quick. I have a feeling Amazon packages have clogged up the system. They do work hard at delivery.

I Refused a package and spoke with “management” to make sure it’s refused—the manager said they don’t know when their system will update. The post office marketed the package instead of refused as delivered and It was never updated to refused due to their negligence and dishonesty. I never got a refund on a $600 item because of this post office negligence and poor practice. Never again going here. They need new staff and new managers asap! Terrible service.

I love this team!! I occasionally take them lunch or snacks- so polite and efficient.
Be sure to take care of the places that take care of you.

Brenda is so nice and helpful. She works with a smile and is patient. She makes coming to the post office a pretty enjoyable experience cause the interactions she offers is efficient and overall lovely.

What's with the negative reviews? In comparison to the other post offices, Wailuku is better in my opinion. Less congested than Kahului and Kihei combined, and if you know what you're doing and plan to send items accordingly, it's 15 minutes in and out all the time for me. That's 5 stars from me as I have no gripes with this facility.

I wish there was no stars review, we shipped more than 20 flat rate boxes, paid extra to have it delivered and insured. 5 boxes r missing with no way to track. Nobody will pick up the phone and my mail suddenly been in forwarded after 2 month!!! Thank goodness we have good mailman (only good one that I met in my 6 years on maui) and he alerted our neighbors. What’s going on in there nobody knows (shaking head) staff that works upfront trying to be friendly but the ones that work behind the scenes is not caring so mail and packages r lost.

2 stars for location, ample parking space. Most of the employees are friendly and courteous except for one. Fat ignorant clerk 13 gave them a bad reputation.

I LOVE this post office. It is close to my work so this is my work/business post office. I frequent here a lot and I love everyone that works here, especially Aunty Pat. She is amazing. She brightens up anyones day!!! The young girls that work here are all super nice and efficient too, I just don't remember their names. I'll add them if I'm able to go and catch it. Even when the line is long, this is probably my favorite location. Thanks for all of your hard work.

The Wailuku Post Office is the one to go to if you want to ship faster than anywhere! They have more than just one pick up time for your packages/letters. For example, if I take my mail to the post office by 10:30am, it's already a day sooner to anyone on the mainland.Also, if you have local mail for this island, it's not going to have to make a trip all the way to Oahu first. Remember, only Wailuku Post Office though. It's the Main Post Office for Maui.

WOW. i'm seriously so surprised by all the negative reviews. I can only comment for the ease of going to this location and the staff. I love going here because everyone is always so nice. Pat is my favorite because she is always warm. There are others but I cannot remember their names but this is the reason I stay coming back.The location is very conveniently next to Tamura's and other surrounding businesses so I make sure to make a few stops on the way in. They always have so many priority mail boxes neatly organized outside so I get a few extras to take home so I can box up whatever I need before I get to the post office. The customers are usually very nice too. As with most usps, it's pretty small inside and some people still kinda practice the "safe six" the line often goes out the door and other customers will hold door open for each other. This is the easiest location for me with guaranteed parking and quick lines. Not sure why the Kahului one get so busy but I DREAD going that one. The wailuku location looks and feels old but doesn't have the urine smell that the Kahului one has so I will continue coming here.
