Wow, what an amazing gem of a golf course. Have folded most of the courses in Maui and paid $$$ to play there, but this course is very reasonable and has a couple of holes right on the water which the expense courses don't have. Will definitely come back here next time on Maui.

Nice wide shorter course, great for beginners. There are lots of hills and trails, which makes it more challenging and more fun! The views are beautiful, you can see blue ocean views, can also see green Mountain Views. We had a great time playing golf here, and really enjoyed the stunning views from both sides of the big land. Course is clean and easy to navigate. We saw some cute birds walking around, they are very friendly, don't get in your way at all.

Grew up playing this course. Greens are one of the best on the island. Place has made huge improvements over recent years. Best bang for your buck hands down. To all the 1 or 2 star reviews, it's a municipal course, so our local tax dollars help pay for this place, so expect the other local golfers to bomb over over you and tell you hurry the hell up. If you don't like employees attitude, they are government employees for the most part and don't have to put up with your crap. If you you got a bad attitude or can't keep up with play, no need play, your tee time will get filled. If you can play ready golf and have a good understanding that this is a municipal course that gets around 200 rounds a day, then I highly recommend this course.

We had heard Waiehu Municipal GC described many different and amazing ways, but until you play Waiehu, you can't fully appreciate what a great golf course, amazing views and the resulting experience really is or can be. We played this course last week and found it in every bit as good condition as the bigger (more $$$) resort courses. We found the staff welcoming and the locals doing a good impression of professional comedians. Our whole experience was one of the best we've had in the islands over the past 30 years - we will be playing Waiehu every trip to Maui now. We've been fortunate enough to play many golf locales around the country & other island destinations and this GC may be the best value we've ever experienced.

The view you can not miss..... customer service good. Excellent green. Club house building out dated, but hey we only spent 10mins there.

Nice shorter course. Kids played the Front 9 and had a good time. They are beginners and had there share of trouble but managed to keep up. Course in really nice condition and views were terrific. Best golf value on Maui. Staff friendly and helpful.

Lady in the pro shop was out right horrible! Screaming at me about a mask when I do not own one and kept referring to me as a "mainlander". She said how "you people" keep coming to Hawaii and ruining it. It became so bad that a local had to step in and apologize for this workers behavior. I would never recommend this course due to the lack of horrible customer service, and out right hateful behavior that was displayed. On a positive note the course was just absolutely and beautifully kept for a municipal course. I have never played a nicer course for the price and the views are breathtaking. If you don't mind an argument and being treated less than a human it's a great place to golf!

Great courser overall, soft greens, wide fairways and good space for beginners to advance players. Customer service is amazing and can’t beat the price for the scenic views and play. Always a treat to play a Hawaii course without playing the pga price.

This is a great municipal golf course. You can actually go and play at doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. It's mainly for locals with students paying as low as $2 for Green fee. I think it's about $65 for out-of-state. Nothing fancy just golf.

Great value! Pro shop and golfers lacked Aloha ( I was asked if I was an experienced golfer when I called in for a tee time), but the course made up for it. $65/person for non residents and $16/person if you show a state ID or driver's license plus you separately have to pay $24 for a cart. Will return and just not expect smiles and greetings like normal Hawaiians!

If you want nice greens, generous fairways, and beautiful ocean/mountain views for cheap (well, Maui-cheap), this is the course for you. If you want to be dazzled by a fancy clubhouse, fine dining, and people you need to tip to load and clean your clubs, this is not the course for you. I played just after 2pm at the $32.50 twilight rate (18 holes). I got grouped up with locals who were very nice. The vibe at the course is very laid back and you can get away with a t-shirt or tank top if you want. Other than the ocean winds, which can be pretty strong, the course is about as friendly as you could hope for. I walked the front nine, which is very flat and easy to walk, and then I got a cart for the back nine ($12). That is the way to go since the back nine has some more hills. Make sure to bring a mask with you so you can go in the pro shop to rent your cart/clubs. Rental clubs were either $25 for some TaylorMades (Aeroburner woods/hybrid) and game improvement irons (a little beat up, but decent grips). Or you can pay $35 for some newer Clevelands. Pro-tip: I normally pack balls, tees, and a glove when I travel, but the pro shop here had used pro-V1s for $1 each, so maybe that can save you some luggage space.

This was a very nice course for being a municipal course. Three holes went right along the ocean front in a nice breeze, blew off the ocean to help keep the temperatures comfortable.Very well-maintained and they did a nice job in providing information upfront. Unfortunately they did not tell us that the cart had to be back by 6:30 and on the 18th Teebox a man drove right down the middle of the 18th fairway right toward us in a cart and told us that we needed to take the cart back immediately as he stated it was getting dark and they needed to close up their shop. When we arrived, they still had many carts they had to clean up for the evening and we could have finished the hole quickly being a shorter pat 4 before it was dark.
