“I asked one of the workers about fishing tips as I was ready to pay for my stuff and after getting more knowledgeable experience, i decided the tackle I choose to get didn’t suit fit for the type of fishing I wanted to do, so I ended up re-choosing some things and they helped verify a better fit of tackle. Mahalo Nankos!”
“Amazing customer service!
So friendly, so much Aloha!
Their expert knowledge gently guided us to the best sake we have ever tasted.
We had the kinka Tedorigawa (cold sake is the best sake) and can’t wait to finish the second half tonight with some of japans best beer, Hittachino ale!
If you’ve never been to “THE SAKE SHOP” you’re missing out!”

“I am a white wine drinker and they did not have the selection I hoped for. But, they have everything else. And the clerk was helpful. Not his fault. It is hard to find a white wine on the island we like. Most are too sweet for me.”

“Solid delivery on wide variety of poke, heavily Japanese and Korean-influenced in flavor options. Geared towards locals, no doubt.
#1 - All Ahi Poke Bowl, generous chunks of raw tuna served with two scoops of rice, opt for the dressed version with Tamura’s Sauce.
By the pound options also excellent. Kimchee Mussels and Tako Sesame are definite no-regrets.
Best after-beach treat when in need of some clean protein and electrolyte replenishment.
Novelties include Korean soju and Armenian lavash crackers/bread (perfect for charcuterie boards or dips).”
“Liquor, tobacco, vapes and all it's accessories, including snacks and basic camping stuff like butane for your portable stove duct tape etc. If you enjoy playing fish games n reels they'll hook you up.”
“There are wine/liquor shops that are quaint/cute; there are ones that have a wide selection; and there are ones that are good values. Fujioka's is the only place I know on the islands that are all three in one. Their specialty liquor selection looks smaller than other places (even very good shops like Tamura's and Foodland Farms) but the variety is so amazing and has much that is unique (esp. in European liquors like grappa and vermouth) in Oahu.”
“Large variety of wine and spirits. They even had Amarula and about a half dozen bottles! (It is hard to find, and if you do, usually an old dusty bottle about to go bad). Thank you, Tamura's! Nice poke bar on the side. Other 'go-withs' like snacks, chocolate, cigars available. Reasonable prices.
Be aware the building is on the corner and the entrance is 1-way, right turn in only from Waialae Ave. The exit is 1-way exit onto 10th Ave. Free parking in their lot.”
“With a vast selection, these friendly guys know their products and will help guide you to the perfect choice, and you will want to return for another when the bottle's empty. Cool location in the basement.”

“Went to Basalt with my two adult children for Thanksgiving dinner (the holiday, not the food). Shared squash coconut curry soup and lemon pepper shrimp recommended by waiter. Both were outstandingly good! Entrees included shutome (a sushi grade swordfish) and mushroom risotto, both of which were excellent. And for dessert, mochi brownie and POG mousse, great choices. We tried the rum-based sangria, but didn't care for it and weren't charged for it. Overall, an excellent experience for the family!”
“Hands down the highest quality, most friendly wine & cigar bar in Honolulu. Intimate feel where friends become like family. Such a personal touch with wine recommendations, cigars, and cocktails. Rick & Elaine could not be kinder and more welcoming hosts. The new food connection with Bocconcino is genius. The only danger in writing this review is that even more folks are going to find out about this gem, but it's simply that special of a place. Can't wait to come back.”
“Cigars Cigars Cigars! Great selection. Viaje Tatuaje Black Works Arturo Fuente just to name a few. Humidor is kept well haven’t had a dry cigar out of here in a while. Everyone is awesome! 10% off on 10 or more and 25% off on boxes! They can special order as well.Pro tip: ask about exclusive Hawaiian blended cigars”
“Best plain musubis on the entire island. For those that don't kno, musubis are most commonly made with a slice of spam on top of rice, and wrapped with a strip of nori (seaweed.) They don't make them to order, but they off the shelves and are almost always hot. Many stores sell theirs with some kind of sauce with too much or too little rice. Kaneohe gets the saltiness of the spam to rice ration right, every time.
Growing up and living in Kaneohe, I've been a patron of this store for a long time. The owners are Korean and always smile, except for the uncles. But, once you get to kno them, you find out that they have an incredible sense of humor.
They offer just about everything you could want from a convenience ?!”
“Went for 1 item, wasn't sure if they would carry the product. The angels were with me because despite crazy drivers, ridiculous rain and absurd winds, I was able to purchase this item without a problem. Oh, and for the first time I paid contactless ..... super weird but oddly satisfying.”

“This little hidden restaurant inside a liquor store is definitely a sleeper. They offer a wide range of foods but we specifically came for their steak plates. It was served with toss salad, rice and steak which brings back memories. I decided to get the steak and shrimp mixed plate ($13.99). For the salad, i went with ranch dressing. It seems like the steak is cooked a certain way as I was not given the option on how i wanted it cooked. It wasn't that big of a deal for me as long as it isn't well done. Once my plate came out which was pretty fast; about a 5 minute wait time, i went over to put their special sauce. It was a sweet korean sauce which was super tasty! One thing that was disappointing was the size and amount of shrimp on the plate. 4 pieces of shrimp and they were fairly small. The steak looked medium rare-well which was perfect. As far as taste, it was pretty good and i can see why there was a lot of people coming in to order them.”

“Greeted when you enter, and gives a very locally owned vibe. The owner knows me but I'm young looking so I always make sure to give my ID and he is always so nice about it. I use to go in for vapes / alcohol but now I always stop In the mornings for my monster before work , and occasionally they have ono fresh musubi and it's cheaper if not the same price as 7-11. Great spot for all your needs but they missing some of the good beers, none the less such great owners and fairly priced everything”

“There is allot of cool wild and goodness that does and happens here. Its always a spectacular Bizzare Different Experience. There no reason to get scared to experience these quirky random few minutes and at the very least you will chuckle to yourself about what just went down and what a fascinating rotating cast of characters : workers or patrons. Or praise both at the same 90 second to 3 min jolly fly bizarre by you just did. Alcohol selection is like everything you want 'silly rabbit' even if its last or next future season trend or treasure. I didn't ask if they had 'French Letters' {prophylactics}”

“Great bourbon selection, great prices, and the best customer service on Island. Best Buffalo Trace Store Pick on island. The owner Dave is a stand-up guy. Sometimes I find myself just hanging out talking shop with him. Highly recommended store not just on windward side but all of Oahu!”
“On Saturday April 6, 2024 The Pali Bottle Shop in Kailua called the police because I had left my wallet there, as me and Brandy were at the Aloha Pacific FCU next to Safeway. I couldn't find my driver's license and wallet, I was about to drive all the way back to Kahaluu being FAR and TIME CONSUMING, but I received a phone call saying that my wallet was found. The person who called me was a Kailua, Honolulu Police Department Officer. Officer Burrough(s) as the police can get anyone's information. He called me saying that my wallet, that made me Happy, as Brandy and Me been having a bad day so far. Brandy is just a completely innocent animal, a AKC Golden Retriever of over 11 years and I'm just about 69, and the woman who is owner, first time I seen her, so sweet and nice, her smile and personality so beautiful, as the Police said they called me police, WOW! I will need to buy them a good dinner. For anyone to go through all of this I feel is so special because nearly half the times that wallet would've been HISTORY, and so would Brandy's and my day, and life. I'm scheduled for surgery Monday and I need that wallet with my ID and my credit cards, ATM card, so many important stuff, and I had around $1500 in cash. Was an ordeal for 45 minutes until I got a phone call from Officer Burrough and what an uplifting feeling! Otherwise we would be still driving back to Home all the way to Kahaluu, and know how long that would take!! Probably an hour so much traffic, despite my inability to cope with it. THANK YOU TO THE PALI BOTTLE SHOP'S HUSBAND AND WIFE..WE APPRECIATE YOUR HONESTY AND YOUR COMMITMENT TO WHAT'S HARD TO FIND, WHICH IS HONESTY AND INTEGRITY.
GARY AND BRANDY MY GOLDEN RETRIEVER!”
“It is a little annoying that Keolu doesn't accept credit cards, as I never have cash on me, but they offer some of the best prices of beer that I have found in Hawaii. You have to buy what's on special to get the crazy deals, but, as my father always says, "beer, pizza, mexican food... it's all good." The other day, they were selling cases of harvest moon for $15! Nothing like getting drunk on good beer for cheap!”
“The google listing is outdated.
The phone number is not valid.
The lady who was there was really sweet nice and knowledgeable.
They don't sell what I was
looking for which was from the google search which listed the various retail outleys which sold the particular product I was looking for.
That's not the lady's fault
and that's not what dropped the rating.
Please forgive the hideous that Kim jumping in and pussily. shut down my MI
wonder solve the issue with discussion and realizing who caught is as well as without physical violence.”

“The store is well-kept and the shelves are usually full. They offer rain checks for items that are out of stock when they are on sale which is awesome. Catchy music in the background making it fun while you shop . The managers know what they are talking about and are very helpful. Customer service could use a little bit of help though. The cashiers are friendly and usually knowledgeable about the sales and how to use the app. They deserve a lot more praise than given. Some people can be so cruel to them. Especially on $5 Fridays. If you want to make a big deal about bagging your own groceries, or not using the app correctly, they have a self checkout line and customer service.”

“They make a really good spam musubi and also sell some good bentos made fresh daily. Not bad for a liquor store. It's a good place to grab a snack if you're hungry and don't wait. They also make sandwiches which I haven't tried yet. Owner is very nice and helpful.”

“Who would have thought a liquor store would have decent Vietnamese food at reasonable prices? I was here for 30 minutes and only saw people getting food. Maybe they should change the name of their shop. This place is in the Pacific Grand condo. Entry is through the lobby or through a back door. Menu on the lobby door is out of date. Prices are $2-$3 higher now. Don't let that deter you. The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. They will even let you order stuff not on the menu. I ordered the spicy lemongrass chicken but on rice noodle (bun) instead of rice. It came with a small basic salad. For $13 I thought it was a fair price. Not huge, but filling enough. They have 4 tables in the store for dine in which is convenient. And hey, if you need a liter of Vodka, or a 40 to go, they have that also. Brown bags optional.”
“Three words: what a place. Late night bag of chips and coke? You got it. Ran out of bevvies while getting legless with the boys? Unbelievable selection. Awesome family-run business, always a delight shopping here, even when they have to deal with the occasional raucous and unruly customers. If you’re in the area, stop by, treat em nice, and get your snacks and bevvies here rather than safeway. Parking also super convenient. Love what you’re doing here guys. Next time i see someone giving you strife I’ll give them a piece of my mind. I did get a bottle of old spice body wash here that i genuinely believe may have been a discontinued product or an old label or something because i’ve never seen it anywhere else and it smelled a little funky but it was a great price anyways. Anyways, to reiterate, love this store, love the people, love it all, keep it up!”
“Was doing a tour and stopped by this place to pick up a quick lunch. Really impressed by how much different poke they had. Clean isles and friendly workers. Not a huge store but its a good sized one for most of your needs. Pretty good prices for all the fresh fruits and seafood. Would definitely stop by here again if I were in the neighborhood.”
