Pharmacy is utterly broken, dysfunctional, can't answer the phone, unconscious and incompetent management. If they can't accomplish simple management how can they be trusted to fill prescriptions?

I’d like to thank Dennis the pharmacist and his team for their hard work and going above and beyond to help. Many people complain about the service at the pharmacy here but please be kind and remember that there is only ONE pharmacist who has to take calls, fill medications, answer questions from the techs and administer all of the vaccines. Let’s all show some grace for the pharmacy team in Kamuela that services so many people on the Big Island. Mahalo Waimea Pharmacy!

I went to pick up a prescription today and asked how many pills were in the bottle. She told me, and I mentioned that I used the medication fairly rarely, so the clerk said she was "going to change the label" and came back after taking HALF the quantity out and then charged me the same amount as she quoted me for the original quantity. I was stunned at this sleight of hand... fortunately I can afford the medication and use it rarely, but gee whiz....

I cannot tell you how much I HATE WITH A PASSION, coming here for prescriptions (pharmacy side only review). Every time I go (almost monthly), the ladies are SO sassy and rude. Their service is absolutely awful!!!!! I got automated text messages saying my prescriptions are available, but when I go to pick it up they didn’t have it ready and they told me I should’ve called them before coming in and it was my fault for not confirming first. Seriously?!? So this time I called to confirm it’s ready before going over and the girl gives me attitude on the phone because it’s been ready for 3 days and she starts having a conversation with someone else tells me to come get it already and then hangs up on me. WTH, their service is ridiculous! I hate this pharmacy so much! Go ANYWHERE else if you can!!!!

The workers here are really nice, and I've heard them put up with some real abuse now and then. Props for the effort to keep the aloha going at work!The pharmacy has long lines. At least they finally put a sign up outside with their hours! Right now the close for lunch around 1-2pish.If you are from the mainland, please don't expect the little local Longs to be able to stock every random RX you may want to fill on vacation. Plan ahead and bring your chronic meds with you! ALL the pharmacy's here have issues getting some meds, and it serves no purpose for you to go on & on about how your CVS in Indiana has no problem getting your stuff. NO ONE CARES and it has nothing to do with whether it's available here. I love this store and the ladies who work there!

My experience at this location has always been good. At last visit Tresia (sales associate) was very helpful providing excellent service! She is clearly an asset to Longs.

Horrible wait times , no drive thru. Not enough staff . No one answers the phone for any questions including "did you receive my prescription from my drs office? Insane ! Go to Kona if you're on the west side!

The store itself is fine. It is the pharmacy that is a mess.corporate will not offer a decent wage so that more staff can be hired. They are overworked and cannot keep up with the demand since Food land closed it’s pharmacy. The staff gets an A+ for working under such unacceptable working conditions

This drugs store was a handy shopping spot in Waimea, HI. I was in need of a few things that I didn't pack for the trip. They had everything I needed from Benadryl crème for bug bites to snacks and soda for our beach days. We bought $80 worth of stuff. Including a Birthday card. It is a bright and clean, well staffed, and friendly store. Always a pleasure to shop there when on the big Island.

I love this Longs. I always find what I am looking for. And the manager Mark is so wonderful and helpful, as are all the people who work there. They are like family...I have been going there for 10 years!!

I have never been to a place where the staff was so rude and everyone just tries to act like they are busy just to ignore every client. Pharmacy never answers the phone after 3 hours of waiting, and then you get there and there are 9 people in the Pharmacy just doing nothing but giving people excuses that they are short staff, or the computer is down, or the prescription is not ready. They all close the Pharmacy for an hour so that all of them go to lunch together instead of splitting their people to still be able to assist and get lines down. We have been living with the COVID excuse for 3 years now. We need to work with what we have got and they clearly do not care. This is unacceptable.

This is such an upbeat and bright store. Despite the worker shortage that is everywhere here, it's amazing that the staff here are so engaging and friendly despite being so thin on the ground. I know first hand what it feels like to be under staffed, and yet at this store they are always so positive and cordial. This neighborly vibe is like stepping back in time, to where people cared for one another.

If you want to be ignored and wait forever for a few pills, this is the place to go. At least six employees behind the counter who saw that I am waiting for help, not one seemed to care enough to ask what I want. Then an employee with no smiles and barely saying a word took my prescription, says it takes 15 minutes to process it. I ask something and she very harshly asks what I said. I come back 15 minutes later. Be ignored for another 10 minutes, then they can't find the prescription in their chaos. It took another ten minutes for them to find the bag somewhere. You can just pray that they don't accidentally mix your medicine with someone else's and kill you with their chaos. Very unprofessional for a pharmacy and potentially life threatening

This review is of the pharmacy not pertaining to the store it self. First let me say I MISS FOODLAND PHARMACY. I have never liked Long's Pharmacy. The staff (besides Elise) is beyond rude and for the most part aren't clear on their policies or the staff are not trained well, they see a line almost all the way to the registers at the front of the store and instead of helping their patients they completely ignore them. I went there TODAY 10/07/2022 after calling 4 different times only to be on hold all 4 times and the call ending after a little over 30 mins to finally speak to a live person on my 4th attempt at 10:30/11:00. The girl on the other end told me 1 of my prescriptions could be picked up today and would be ready between 3:30/3:45 due to the pharmacist doing vaccination all throughout the day, that's a 5 hour difference. I figured what the hell, I'm gonna be up there anyway, I might as well hang around until that time so I didn't need to stop there again until Monday to pick up the other one. After waiting 2 hours to kill time, waiting in line for another 45mins due to the drive thru being closed, the same girl (I recognized her from her voice) that told me I could pick it up today told me I couldn't get it until Sunday and I triple checked with her on the phone l asking if she was sure it was today. Then she proceeded to not only NOT own her mistake but actually made it sound like I was wrong and that I was hearing things. LONG'S PHARMACY DO BETTER!!! If KTA was an option for a lot of us, TRUST ME I WOULD BE THE FIRST TO LEAVE AND TAKE ALL OF MY FAMILY WITH ME.
