Local Hawaiians in Waimea gather every Sunday to worship and sing in their native language. Everyone is welcomed to attend the service at 9 am on Sunday. The original church was destroyed and replaced in 1865 and then the new one was destroyed in a 1992 hurricane. The current church has a gabled roof, a steeple and made of wood. The interior is made of wood. According to the history of the church, there was a dispute and resulted in the formation of this Hawaiian church.
