Showed up with my family and met a guy wanting to give a table away, I told him my family could really use it, it was just a wood table shaped like a alligator, offered him $100, he was going to do until the people at habitat said it had to go through the store first ( I would have been happy to give them the $100, went to get it and they told me $500! Even brand new this table would have only been $200. DO NOT SHOP HERE, it’s a scam. The people running it seem very sketchy, I’ve been to ever habitat on the island and this one is by far the worse! I wouldn’t be surprised if they were pocketing some of the money. Or saving things for themselves. They literally get everything for free. Will never shop there again total scam!

I will not go in this store again. Several times I have gone there and wanted a few things that were not priced and were pretty banged up. I ask how much and they just pick a number out of thin air. I offer a fair price and they rudely refuse. Isnt every single thing there free to them? Is this not a charitable cause I would be donating to? Yesterday I stopped in with a friend after the farmer’s market and found an old dusty wooden frame with a piece of amateur art in it. I am an artist and often buy frames to upcycle. I took it up to the counter and asked the lady how much it was. She said ummmm…how bout $35? I said I was thinking more like $20. She said no. So I left it at the counter. As I was walking out of the store she rudely said oh ya just leave it there. To say she was rude would be an understatement. I’ll never understand why they wld rather have no money for this stuff than a reasonable offer. Every time I’ve been in there we’ve had a laugh at the prices on their filthy old couches. Yesterday there was a very old blue couch in there for $285 that I wouldn’t put in my garage. I’ve found better things at the dump store or for free on Facebook marketplace without the attitude. I have heard so many similar stories about this particular Habitat store. It does not have a nice reputation in our friendly little town. The kona one is a Gem tho.

Bait and switch. Found a piece of furniture priced at $35. Proceeded to purchase and was told they could not sell for $35 (although plainly marked with Restore ticket) and needed to charge $50?? So prices marked are not really the price? No thanks!

Always worth poking your head in. You never know if you'll find just what you need in the way of furniture or things for your home.

The staff here are super welcoming. I went here to drop off a printer and some other stuff that I had to get rid of because I was moving. The staff were so nice to me. They graciously accepted everything I had and thanked me for my donation, even though they were the ones doing me a favor by taking the stuff off my hands. Then they even wrote me a receipt so I could claim the donation for my taxes! I didn’t even ask for them to do that, but they went out of their way to help me.

The quality of Aloha from the staff at #HabitatForHumanityWaimeaReStore is above and beyond. From management Elizabeth and staff members Tia, and Pili. Make you feel welcomed whether you are donating or purchasing. There kindness is what is missing in today's service industry. Hopefully they keep it up. Sharing the Aloha Spirit. Mahalo Nui for all your hard work trying to end homelessness on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Was passing by yesterday decided to stop. When my wife saw the tree I knew I had to have it. Yes I know it is the beginning of November. But I have to say it was a great idea. Checkout these images.

We love this Habitat for Humanity. Liz and her team are absolutely amazing! Last year we lost our home and all our possessions and today we have a beautiful filled with furniture from here. Liz is a treasure - she loves helping others and always makes the day warm with her presence. Thank you all for being so wonderful!

Habitat For Humanity's Restore in Waimea is fantastic. We've found the best and most unique pieces of furniture there for our new home on the Big Island. And great kitchen items and decorative pieces as well. Manager Liz is so helpful! You can tell that she and her team really put their heart and soul into the operation of this store. True Aloha spirit. And the proceeds go to a really great cause as well. It's a winner all the way. Mahalo!
