Hale Puna is a historic property with beautiful grounds. It hosts a small but excellent Thursday farmers market featuring rare and unique local produce. The site supports sustainable agriculture, with volunteers and students helping on its acreage. Visitors can meet skilled local craftswomen and find beautifully made items like flower leis. Those involved are doing great work, with plans to refurbish the house.

We were just there last week and met the most amazing craftswoman, Geogia I think. Bought some beautifully made flower lei's that have now dried and are even more gorgeous. What a find!

Went to the farmers market on Thursday evening. Although there were only ~6 tables, the vendors had some pretty rare and unique produce for sale. Was the only place I was able to get my hands on breadfruit.
