this store is trashy and just marketing. everything is obviously overpriced and they only have about three things of an item in stock. they don't bother to restock and all this was for a $62 hoodie that was basically plain. do better and don't waste your money here.

Use to be out favorite place to shop. Today, nobody asked to help, service use to be amazing with excellent suggestions and a fun experience Selections were under $50.00 for nice dresses..but $71.00 for sweat pants and bobo style flowy pants $79.00. I know prices have gone up..but WOW disappointed.

I honestly love this boutique and ever since I found it on the island years ago, I come back to visit every time I'm here!! She seems to have been buying more jewelry, which was great, since I was looking for a couple of gifts for my friends! I love all the summer and printed items that she has in her boutique as well as all the different romper, pants, shirts and skirts they offer! This time around it was perfectly timed since I had my teenage son with me and his favorite store is right next-door at the Surfer's spot! Lol as he shopped, I could shop freely and not be bothered by my man child, asking me to leave and buy some thing online. Lol. I will definitely always come back to this boutique as well as watch them online as I've done over the past 10 years, I've been coming to the Big Island! Hee

The customer service at Mahina in Waimea is less than stellar. The woman at the store didn't say hi to me after I said hi to her, she acted annoyed that I was there, and had a generally rude demeanor about what I was going to try on, what I was going to buy, and ringing me up and she certainly didn't offer any help or suggestions. She reminded me several times in a snarky way that all sales were final on the pair of shorts I was buying, ok thanks I got it. I presented her my credit card and hawaii license and she didn't give me kama'aina. Then when I saw another necklace I wanted to purchase and asked her about kama'aina she gave it to me on my second purchase but didn't acknowledge that she didn't extend it on my first. As someone who has worked in retail for many years, it is depressing to go into a boutique and be around someone who clearly does not want to be there. I offer compassion if she was having a bad day but she seemed generally unpleasant.

I love mahina, I've been to many mahina locations around the state. This was the first mahina locations that I've experienced where the customer service was horrible. There were 3 associates just talking to each other. There was no acknowledgement, and no one asked if we needed any help. They were just at the counter talking to eachother. As someone who has worked in customer service for many years, I feel like this was unacceptable. I was very shocked and didn't want to purchase anything.

The women that work here are SO RUDE. Especially the pregnant one--massive attitude! They don't deserve your business. Their clothes are cheaply made, with expensive price tags too.

Cute styles of clothing. Beach/Bohemian. Prices a lot less than similar clothing offerings in California.

Would give zero stars if I could!!!!!!!!!! Pregnant lady who worked there was the most rude customer service person I've ever came across. I will NEVER be back again. She needs to be fired for her horrible behavior towards paying customers!!!!!

Horrible customer service. I'm a local and I honestly felt that "not being a tourist", made the workers uninterested in helping me. I have been to both the Waimea, and Waikoloa locations and received the same kind of treatment. This review is based on 3 seperate occasions. 2 in Waimea, and 1 in Waikoloa. I could not find a specific review section for the Waimea store. Therefore, my review on this store is based as a whole. Both girls/workers were unbothered and unphased while I walked in. No greeting or conversation at all. Both walked past me without saying anything. Waimea location was by far the worse. There were more than 10ppl in the store. I waited to enter with my bf for about 5mins patiently. Then the girl told us "you guys can come in" and walked away. Meaning covid-19 protocols aren't followed for social distancing. We went in following what she said, and had to keep avoiding ppl. Very uncomfortable. I chose a romper that cost $65 (overpriced). As I went to pay, the girl didn't say one word to me. No "hello", "how do you like this romper?" , "did you want to try it on?", didn't tell me the price, nothing. Then she folded it up sloppy, shoved it in a tiny bag, and DIDNT SAY THANK YOU. HOW CAN YOU NOT TELL ME, A CUSTOMER WHO JUST PURCHASED SOMETHING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, THANK YOU?! ABSOLUTELY RUDE AND RIDICULOUS. So I paused waiting for her to thank me, and stared at her. She looked me back in the eyes, where then I glared and said "THANK YOU" seriously. Offended by her lousy rude service. Such a horrible experience. As for Waikoloa, the same thing. Over crowded. No greeting or conversation at all. So didn't bother purchasing anything. Your clothes can be nice although over priced.. but if your customer service SUCKS you RUIN your entire image Mahina. Train your workers to be decent pleasant people.

Walking thru Kailua with friends - the window display caught our eye. Cute shop with a relaxed vibe. Ended up trying a couple things on and got a cute romper. Found out they have multiple locations on multiple Hawaiian islands. The only negative was no greeting when walking into shop and had to request assistance. Other than that good amount of inventory with fun & relaxed looks.

Lots of variety and reasonably priced. Great customer service. I only wish I can wear the cute dresses all year round in WA.
