We came here specifically looking for spam musubi and we weren't disappointed! The rice was perfect! All the supermarket nearby either were out of spam musubi or the rice was dry and hard. The spam musubi here was perfect that we decided to come back here for more as we were in town! We were bummed they didn't have chicken katsu musubi when we came back because it was sooo delicious! I'm happy with whatever we found.

Zero stars. Come for 4+ years for gas. Stopped on Sundays. This Sunday my 7 year old had to go to the bathroom to pee very bad. They turned us away: no public restrooms. Daughter peed in her pants on way home. Not Ohana spirit. Will never stop her again.

First stop after checking into my hotel was to make the 20 mile drive to mini stop to get my Maui Fried Chicken dinner. Tastes as good as ever.

My father bought a 12 piece chicken and 6 wedges. He paid 30.00. The chicken pieces were small, and dried from sitting under the heater. Either customers should be allowed to order chicken freshly made or minitstop should reduce the prices for dried out goods. It was terrible and practically inedible. When asked, my Father was told by a worker, that he can only get what was there. Won’t be getting my chicken from here again. Also, there is no contact for customer service. The picture is of 4 pieces that fit on my small dinner plate from being shrunken and dried out. The larger plate is there for contrast.

They are rude and refused to allow me to use their restroom facilities. I am a 69 year old female and just drove all the way from Kealakekua to Waimea and they were open and I stopped in to use the restroom and purchase something but they refused to allow me to use the bathroom so I left and didn't purchase anything.

Unbelievably horrible! As I was finishing up pumping fuel at Pump #7, their gas receipt did not print when asked for a printed receipt. As usual, all MS Cashiers would be able to access to the pump and get you a printed receipt at their end. Not likely for MS Kamuela. A young man and woman couldn't do their job, and asked for my name, number, pump number, and what time I was there. Really!? Of all MS Store I've been at, they never had a problem with printing a receipt, except for Kamuela. Terrible service. This was during my On Duty time...

Minit Stop is a gas station and convenience store, but it is the best place to get the most bang for your buck in terms of cheap and delicious food. The fried chicken - especially the thunder chicken - is the best. The chicken is hot, tender, and juicy. It is sold as individual pieces, box sets, or plate meals. If you are getting just one piece of chicken, get the thunder chicken. It costs only a few bucks, and it gets you a gigantic piece of fried chicken. Aside from chicken, there are bento items, musubi, plate meals, and other to-go items. Another favorite besides the fried chicken is the flying saucer, stuffed puff pastries that come in different flavors, all of which are delicious. Food aside, this is a typical gas station and convenience store. The gas prices seem to be on par with the rest of the island. There is a decent amount of pumps, and the store seems to be kept clean. The location is super close to Waimea. The gas is nothing special, but the delicious fried chicken and really cheap food options are pretty awesome.

Paid with the only cash I had *which was a slightly large bill* and the cashier rolled her eyes at me... I usually go there for convenience *I work in waimea* and I might just have to gi to a different business that actually wants my business :/

Food is not always available freshly made. This is the 4th time I bought chicken thighs and it was dry and over cooked. The meat under the skin is another thick can’t chew skin meaning way over cooked. Maybe they should be trained again on how to fry chicken. The tutu’s down at kawaihae minute stop now they know how to fry chicken. Thighs are never over cooked never dry. So moist and freshly made. Even the chili bowl down there is way better then the one in Waimea. And they both run the same kind of prefab chili. Really maybe they should work down kawaihae minute stop and learn what they do cause before I could brag about the Waimea minute stop chili bowl and fry chicken not now I honestly can’t. I know you folks can bring it up to the standards it once was before.

Great place to stop for food. I am here at least once a week to get Fried Chicken and Potato wedges for dinner. I will say that they have some excellent employees you will feel very well taken care of if you have the pleasure of being helped by Alyn, Amy, Celeste or Julia as they treat you like family.
