Very beautiful salon… she’s very good at what she’s does makes you feel very comfortable one minute ur nails are looking unfixable and the next it looks like a whole new foot. she was supper gentle with me supper love her ❤️

Needed a gel refresh as we arrived to the Mauna Lani area. I found Kim and she was able to get me in the next day. The salon was clean and comfortable, and her gel manicure has lasted a full 2 weeks even with being in and out of the ocean and pool for 8 days. She offers a wide variety of color choices and polish brands. Worth the drive to her if you’re staying at the beach. Lots to do in Waimea while you’re there. Highly recommend and I will go back next trip!

Good job, but rather expensive. Aesthetician took her time, leg/Foot massage was average, massage chair was nice.

I love going to Kim's for my pedicures and they are so good to me and so generous and kind. I enjoy the clientele that is there also. I love the way my toenails look every single time.

Went in to get a pedicure and they did a great job. My toes still have color on them a month later. Kim and her sister were very kind to get us in last minute on a Sunday night and the salon was very nice and relaxing.

I was really not impressed by the overall cleanliness of the salon. I had a mani pedi done by Kim's sister and noticed that the towel covering the manicurist's work station was damp, smelled odd, and appeared to have not been changed between clients. This was confirmed when I sat down for my pedi and she did not change the towel after working on me. Normally I expect to see a clean set of cuticle clippers removed from an autoclaved package when the nail technician begins to work. These tools should then follow you to your pedicure, and then should be autoclaved and repackaged. Instead, the manicurist removed an unpackaged cuticle pusher and cuticle trimmer from her drawer, gave my fingers a quick wipe down with alcohol, and wiped off the cuticle trimmer with alcohol before she started. I questioned her about how the tools were cleaned, and she said the autoclave is in the next room, but I believe she was reusing the tools in between clients, hence the alcohol wipe down. Overall, other things struck me as odd too. Instead of massaging my hands with lotion, she used cuticle oil. The lotion she used during my pedicure was dispensed out of a restaurant style mustard container. When I got into the pedicure chair, there was water pooling out from beneath it on both sides, to me it looked like the bowl system had a leak. During my pedicure she swept the toe clippings into the water my feet were resting in. Overall, expensive ($80) for regular mani pedi, cleanliness issues, would not go again.

We had mani/pedi's with Kim and Judy today. Both ladies went above and beyond to make the experience wonderful. I loved that a bowl liner was used for the pedicures as well. Highly, highly recommend Nails by Kim!

I received the best gel manicure/pedicure I've ever had in my life here. I did have to wait about 45 minutes as a walk-in, and pay with cash only. Regardless, I was visiting from North Carolina, and I am truly saddened that this nail salon is 5,000 miles away! I would never go anywhere else if I could. It has been over 3 weeks, and my gel polish hasn't lifted, chipped, or cracked. The manicurist did not apply it overly thick either, so the final result is very natural.

Been going to Nails by Kim for the past year, after another local salon closed. Initially, the service was great. Felt like we were valued customers and the designs I received weren't anything crazy but they at least looked nice.
The past three pedicures have not been good at all. Each service for the past few months has been fast (30 minutes or less) and the designs have either been not what was asked for or poor quality. Today's pedicure was, unfortunately, the worst I've had at this salon, which breaks my heart. I asked for a gold glitter tip and a gold line. Not once did the salon say they couldn't do anything like that design....instead they did the design. It came out horrible. The lines weren't straight, half of one toe had paint covering the line. The glitter tip wasn't anything like I had shown in a picture. I wish the salon had told me that was not a service they could provide instead of what I received. I would have rather had a similar design that the technician was comfortable with than what I did receive.
Beyond the design, my basic color coat didn't even cover the whole nail. This is the second time this has happened. It makes my pedicure look like it's already grown out of the paint.
Unfortunately, the person I went with is also not pleased with her pedicure either. Although the color looks pretty, it appears like there weren't enough coats of paint layered on the toes as the color is transparent, which is not what was asked for. She didn't get any designs, so no feedback there.
$100+, but no longer going back to this salon. We tried, hoping some experiences were just bad days but it has gotten worse. Hopefully the salon can get back to the relaxing, high quality pedicures we experienced last year. Everyone who sees Kim for manicures seems so pleased though! Maybe someday I'll come back to try that experience as this salon had come recommended to us more than once. Thank you, Kim for always accommodating us and for the time we have had at the salon.
