Saved our dog by years!!! We turned our trust over to Vet Associates and Dr. Gressard when our dog was faced with the choice of surgery to remove her second eye. We wanted to best for our dog and we're not sure that being blind was the best choice. We went forward with it and are so glad we did!! She, with the help of Dr Gressards surgical abilities and care and brilliant zip ties on the collar idea.. has thrived! She enjoys life and is able to do so much, she is confident! Too confident! She ended up breaking her leg because with her can do anything attitude got herself in a predicament. Dr. Gressard to the rescue! He magically fixed an almost unfixable break on a senior dogs back leg. This might seem ridiculous, but our dogs attitude is glowing with joy and our children have a great fondness for her so... we went on. The Vet associate team kept checking her progress and giving the best of advice for rest and recovery. She has her leg healed now and she is back to her confident self and we are enjoying her blind now for over a year. We are so thankful, She would not still be part of this life without the Vet associated team. They continue to be our animal angels in a practical, realistic, sympathetic and caring way! mahalo Nui!!!!

Cannot say enough about the friendliness, efficiency, and professionalism of Waimea Vet Associates! From the nice guy who answered the phone, to the kind I take woman, to their great Covid / curbside services, and the truly thoughtful and upbeat Vet Dr... we are so glad to be apart of this vet hospital!!

Easily the best veterinary clinic I’ve ever been to! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they’re knowledgeable about so many animals compared to your standard vet that mainly focuses on domesticated cats and dogs. I’ve only been here once, but it was the best experience I’ve had at a veterinary clinic! They even have a patient portal that you can access online. These guys are fabulous! Our dog was very ill on New Year's Day. Dr. Hamilton met us at the clinic and provided outstanding care! Mackinac had to stay at the clinic for IV meds and a blood transfusion. One of the vet techs allowed her own dog to be the blood donor. Our girl would not have lived through the night without them!

My little pup got very sick and her regular vet was out with a medical issue. I called every vet in Hilo, Keaau & Puna and not one was willing to take an emergency case. Thankfully one suggested I try Veterinary Associates. I called them and they said no problem, bring her up. Little Girl spent two days in their care and was then able to come home feeling tons better and healing. The drive from Lower Puna to Waimea was more than worth it! The entire staff were caring, sweet and professional. If I lived closer I would happily make them our go-to veterinary.

Had an appt at 9 and it's 9:30 and I'm still sitting in the room and haven't been talked to once since they put us in here at 9. Ridiculous. Not the best for sure. One of the new staff is pretty rude, as well.

We contacted this vet, requested a refund for lack of services, they denied the request. Filing a RICO complaint and have already filed a BBB complaint. Will continue to post negative reviews so others do not experience the trauma we endured due to his lack of competency.
