THEY KILLED TWO OF MY CATS!!! IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE THEM THERE! They seriously do not care about your animal. They do have vet techs there that are genuinely concerned. But the culture of the office is strictly money driven. I wish I could give them 0 stars. We thought it was just a coincidence that our other cat died there a year ago but now after two, it's very suspect. Regardless, she died in the car after spending 1 night there. My family is inconsolable. She literally died within 2 hours in the car with my children after their "care". I wish there was a way I could report them or hold them responsible. But if I can save other animals by having this opportunity to post this review it will have to be enough emotional retribution for me and my family.

I can only speak from two experiences and I am not sure if it's all Vets or just this one but our family has lost two cats under their "care". The biggest complaint is they are very much money driven. When they treat your animal there is no discussion about price till you get hit with the bill. That took us by surprise. We left our second cat overnight and when they called me the next morning nothing changed and my intuition told me to go get her. Basically they did nothing except diagnose her but the treatment was not working and they wanted her to stay for more. I called them to tell them we are picking her up they did not even have the decency to let us know how she was doing or any aftercare instructions they just handed her to me. How can you be so callous???? Something they did made her much worse then when we dropped her off and she died on our way home in my son's arms. I will never trust them with another member of our family that's 2 cats in 5 years. They do not care more about the animals than the money.

My family has been taking our dogs here for over 25 years. We totally trust them and have never had a negative experience with them. They are always knowledgeable, responsible and friendly.

My uncle took his Chihuahua to them, after being hit by a car, he was doing excellent for over 12 hours. Our friend suggested we take him in to get an ex-ray. $480.00 later they suggested an operation... Our baby had the operation, they called us the following morning and told us the operation went well but our baby was dead... They forfeited the $1,400 bill. They never said why. Our dog was my uncle's last piece of his wife that passed 7years ago... be careful who you trust as your veterinarian...

Took our 2 dogs here for the first time on 2/17/2023. From the start we knew we liked this clinic. From the front staff to the vet support staff to Dr. Ishizu all were exceptional! Each member that we interacted with listened to what we said, responded with information and/or understanding and caring. We would recommend this clinic to anyone new to the area or, as was our situation, looking for a new vet for their furry loved ones.

I’ve been a client for at least 25 years. With very few exceptions, my animals have received excellent and compassionate care, and the business side of the practice has been well run. The fact that they offer 24/7 coverage is invaluable!

Have used Veterinary Associates twice now and they've been great both times. Both emergencies. They showed us empathy, urgent care no questions asked and followed up with us after to check on our baby. Will not go anywhere else in Waimea. Been to 3 vets in Waimea and Veterinary Associates are my vet for life as their care and willingness to help even after hours is above the rest! Thank you all for caring so much about the animals. ?

Saved our dog by years!!! We turned our trust over to Vet Associates and Dr. Gressard when our dog was faced with the choice of surgery to remove her second eye. We wanted to best for our dog and we're not sure that being blind was the best choice. We went forward with it and are so glad we did!! She, with the help of Dr Gressards surgical abilities and care and brilliant zip ties on the collar idea.. has thrived! She enjoys life and is able to do so much, she is confident! Too confident! She ended up breaking her leg because with her can do anything attitude got herself in a predicament. Dr. Gressard to the rescue! He magically fixed an almost unfixable break on a senior dogs back leg. This might seem ridiculous, but our dogs attitude is glowing with joy and our children have a great fondness for her so... we went on. The Vet associate team kept checking her progress and giving the best of advice for rest and recovery. She has her leg healed now and she is back to her confident self and we are enjoying her blind now for over a year. We are so thankful, She would not still be part of this life without the Vet associated team. They continue to be our animal angels in a practical, realistic, sympathetic and caring way! mahalo Nui!!!!

Find another trustworthy Vet then Dr. Lisa Wood one who doesn't just cater just to horses after one visit for my cat for worms this visit during normal business hours set me back $600.00 which wasn't even an Emergency. If you're very wealthy and like to wa$te your money please go to Veterinary Associates, Inc. to be taken to the cleaners!I called on my cell phone while waiting on the Vet who took hours to see my cat then once she did I never got a call back. I called back only to hear the phone ring busy even tried when my connection failed from the grocery store so upon returning I wasn't given the bill. I was told it would be on my Credit Card so boy was it! WOW Turns out all kinds of unnecessary blood tests were done when in fact all Dr. Wood needed to do is take a stool sample. After speaking to her outside near the horses she kept looking their way ignoring all of my questions for my cat she supposedly seen. Very unhappy at this point I learned having the RIGHT Vet means the World. I left finally waited for hours to hear she would see my cat after she finished with the horses spending a nominal amount of time with my sick cat. She spent less than 5 mins. I think with my pet if that then called me as I asked her kindly are you finished already? As s we spoke outside of where the horses were Dr. Wood gazed off into the distance again staring and laughing with the other vet at the handsome horses ignoring me the whole entire time! Upon arriving back, after leaving briefly waiting for hours for Dr. Wood to examine my cat I was told that hat the Vet was too busy with the horses! How I wish I didn't bring my cat to Veterinary Associates, Inc. horse Vet to be neglected who was cold, distant and not very attentive to my pet's needs. Since I wasn't informed of the price that it would cost over $600.00 for just worms I had to use my Crredit Card so it's money down the tubes!Factor in the "forgotten" prescription that Dr. Wood failed to give me for the following week as the other Vet called back after my repeated after hour calls. No even a call from Dr. Wood to find out how my pet was doing shows the lack of empathy she has for the patients except for the horses so I regret going to Veterinary Associates to be ripped off then ignoring my pet with horses on her mind! The other Vet as I called for Dr. Wood she wouldn't call back for days upon days while I worried myself to death. The finally a return call from another vet who said how shocked he was that Dr. Wood didn't send me home with the second dose to ensure my cat didn't get the worms back again! Before leaving Veterinary Associates speaking maybe 1 -2 minutes mostly her laughter with the other Vet ignoring my pet and myself I then spoke up to ask if I should buy more of the a/d can cat food? Dr. Wood told me to buy it from Petco.. Before I left I had a change of mind then bought several cans of a/d can cat food just in case. While at home I ran out in a few days so then I headed to Petco to be told it required a prescription from Dr. Wood and would take 3 - 4 weeks for delivery! Finally, in the case of worms only a stool sample is necessary as my pet I was told had to have expensive blood work but never told why? This used to be a good Vet's Office but with SKY HIGH PRICES and indifference towards my pets I'm not coming back. Finally, I broke down buying some more a/d cans of cat food with the second dose of the worm medicine with a shipping charge of $25.00 to ship a few cans with the prescription which is OUTRAGEOUS! When I complained I was told Dr. Wood would call back after the staff member hung up. Never heard back not even to check up on my pet so Que Sera, Sera Whatever Will Be. Will Be the Future is NOT Veterinary Associates all for the love of money!

Trying to get your pet seen at this place takes two to three weeks, unless you are willing to fork out an extra $170 for an emergency visit then they can always squeeze you in. Taking your pet to a vet is always an emergency. This practice doesn't make sense to me.
