As a Costco member, you expect a level of customer service for paid membership since without paying members, what would Costco have? Granted I could choose to not be a member, but that shouldn't be the option. The model should "value" members like myself who choose to renew year-after-year, increased-fees after increased-fees. Because let's face it, Costco still holds value regardless of the POOR experiences I've encountered from the Pharmacy at Costco Ka Uka. I'll preface by saying customer service trumps mistakes any day, HANDS DOWN because humility goes a long way. Period. I have enough years under my belt with age and jobs to know what good customer service is vs. BAD customer service. Although the Golden Rule is more commonly known, The Platinum Rule is the NEW STANDARD, which for those who are unaware is "Treat Others How THEY Expect To Be Treated." It shifts the focus from what YOU want to what THEY want. It is now a selfless model vs. the selfish model when you look intrinsically into its meaning. Sorry for such a long intro, but it's necessary to hopefully get my point across. Today I picked up my monthly medication, and was subjected to be taken to the consultation window to have ALL my meds re-counted in front of me. Totally unnecessary since not all of my meds have been short in the past. ONLY ONE SPECIFIC MED HAS BEEN SHORTED ON NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS!!! But if this is what it takes for the Pharmacy Dept. to finally get it right, so be it. You must be wondering why? Last month my 2x/day med was short 30 pills. THIRTY PILLS! How do I know? I refill my five weekly pill boxes with all my meds which always should equal four full boxes and one with two days. Simple math. Noooooo, this specific med was short. But because this wasn't even the first time this happened (about six or seven times, seriously, same med ALL THE TIME) I was informed to come back to verify the count. wtf When I finally was able to return, inconveniently since I plan ahead when I need to visit Costco, there was talk under the tech's "breath" when she called the pharmacist over. "He's the one..." which I heard because they didn't say it soft enough. smh He basically said, "our inventory is correct, so you are wrong." Keep in mind, this wasn't a narcotic, but a prescribed pill which I need 2x/day per my doctor. I was outraged because he was basically telling me we're right, you're wrong. I really couldn't believe it. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM COSTCO AND ITS PHARMACY. Talk about having no sympathy, empathy, and humility since I explained how I'm short 30 pills. Okay so since I still NEEDED my meds, they counted the remaining 30 in front of me, but informed me they would be counting this med in person each time I pick up in the future (but not ALL my meds). I agreed because again, if that's what it takes so be it. He even tried to justify that it was triple-counted and initials on the bottle "DC" show it was double-counted, BUT I'M TELLING YOU IT WAS SHORT 30, NOT 1 OR 2, THIRTY!!!!!! Being insulted, I went to the front, explained to a manager on duty, which she said she would talk to the Pharmacy Manager. Keep in mind, no follow-up ever happened, no pharmacist or manager ever reached out to me from then until today. So instead of trying to talk to a manager again, here I am sharing with you my awful experience. Good luck and stay safe!

Needs to be zero stars. Customer service and professionalism is clearly lacking with most employees. Every time I go to this warehouse I see food items that someone has thrown from their carts and placed in random areas throughout, cold items hidden up on can-goods, pre-made Cesar salads placed inside random freezer and meat laying on top of the cereal box's. Concerning, that employees could be placing cold items that have set out long periods back to be sold. Today was my final straw with this Costco. I walked out after loading over half my wagon of about $700.ish on the belt. I refuse to be spoke to rudely by a salty, foul employee once again. Let's not forget you all have jobs because of our memberships and support. I'm returning to shop full time with Sam's Club.

Our early stop to load up on supplies and gifts. Always nice to roam the isles and see different things for sale vs mainland Costco's. Good spot to fill up before returning your rental as well.

I frequently visit this establishment, for the weekly needs of my family,I have found many reasonable deals that fit my budget, also many original products that I have fallen in love with for one reason or another. This is the case for a wonderful new product that has only been available in the rest of the states, it's called Happy shrimp chips in a butter and garlic flavor in a 16 oz bag yes 16 oz bag like way back in the days lol, a terrific Idea that taste phenomenal , it is garlic a butter and garlic shrimp chips.Yes I said garlic and butter shrimp chips , I absolutely love them.I am guessing when I say the chips In size its about 4"x 3". They are little bites of heaven, they definitely taste of shrimp with an equal,if not a hint more of butter and garlic, simply a must try if you are like myself and love shrimp chips. The reason for such a high score is for the service that I received tonight.I found these delicious chips about a month ago and only bought a bag to try ,I was very disappointed when I ate the whole bag over the weekend.I went back to Costco waipio looking for it. I was very disappointed when I could not find them, luckily I took a picture of the item and this began my mission.I unfortunately discarded my receipt and forgot where I purchased it from, needless to say ,I looked at Sam's club asked an associate, but they have never heard of this product.I went back in to Costco and decided to ask an associate there tonight , he was just getting off and was putting away his work I'd , he still took the time to hear me out, and also tell me that not only yes he has heard of this product, but he also loves it a lot,I apologize that I was not able to get his name . He directed me to supervisor in red that was standing in front of a podium with a lap top on It ,Again I will say I walked in at shift change and was unable to get his name, but he also gave me his time not only confirming that yes they stock this product but that they also had 193 bags left according to the computer, he then proceeded to tell me that he knew where the product was and to follow him ,unfortunately it was not there and because the pallet was almost empty the stockers took it in the back .He jumped on his radio found a stocker and had them look for the item as I waited, he then told me that he was unsure as to when they would be able to retrieve it for me. He then apologized to me and said he needed to leave but passed me over to another supervisor, I won't lie I was getting a little aggravated, and I was ready to leave ,when the next supervisor who was just steeping on the floor jumped on his radio and was quickly responded back to about said item,to my amazement, he told me to if I could wait five min they will Bring it up to me,after three min and yes I was watching my watch, he said I will get them and be right back, he confirmed the count I wanted witch was five bags, and headed towards the back, a little upset I looked at my watch again and to my amazement after six minutes, just a min past what he had told me ,he came with the five bags I had requested, I will not go to any other Costco other than Costco waipio for my families needs, and I will be going back and or calling this store to try to find out all that was involved in making my shopping experience there incredible with there customer service and support team, at shift change and closing time. I also must say I was a little impatient but the whole waiting period took 22 minutes at best . I tip my hat and strongly recommend, Costco waipio to all My fellows yelp family members ,all My family and friends.

Stopped by to grab some basics. Store is clean. Employees are wearing masks. Customers required to wear masks. As usual they check for your membership card at the entrance. The high points of this trip were finding what I needed and a quick checkout. We usually go to Costco in Kalihi but we had errands out this way. So Mililani it is. It's pretty easy to find and there's a ton of parking. Got my pineapple juice. It's a steal with these prices. Also got some brioche braided bread at $6.99 a loaf. Perfect for Mother's Day brunch French toast. All in all it was quick and easy. There were lots of customers but checkout line had little to no wait. Will not hesitate to return here if in the area.

If I could give zero I would! People were standing in lines this morning and were told after the fact that there are two major lines. Therefore extending the amount of time you are waiting in line! Rediculous! Costco needs to clear some of the s*** from in the middle of the store to allow customers to disperse throughout the lines. IM DISAPPOINTED! As an instacart shopper this very much so effects my shopping time!

Friends and I call this one the "ghetto costco" due to the inferior selection of products compared to any of the other (excellent) Oahu Costcos. A few random examples are not carrying the excellent Hawaii-made Koloa rum (like the other Costcos carry), just the cheaper stuff. No super-fresh made-on-site sushi ( much smaller selection made at another store). No Kirkland grapefruit cups. Only one type of Suja green juice, the one that is mainly apple juice. I'm not saying they are "out of stock" I'm saying they just don't carry a lot of the better quality items the other island Costcos carry. And in my experience, just forget about being able to call in to find out if an item is in stock before you make the long trek to the store, cuz they ain't gonna answer when you "press 1 for administrative staff".

I never did have a problem with Costco I go every week but today.... Very disappointed in waipio Costco on Oahu. Their customer service seem to suck. I was at the register and the cashier was taking his sweet time ringing me up and talking to his co workers and neighbor cashiers like my time wasn't important. This guy who was next to me came after me and was done before me and he had more stuff. It was very unprofessional. I know that Costco makes a lot of money but they need to work on their workers customer service, it just seems like maybe they don't care about their customers and just the money...It makes me think maybe I should take my business somewhere else..very disappointed.

It's been a year since covid started and they have been doing a good job handling it from time to time. However, although they now have a lot of toilet paper and paper towels, they are usually out of stock of clorox wipes and lysol spray. I like this costco better than the iwilei bc on a usual weekday, customers are a little more respectful with parking, social distancing in line and wearing their masks properly. Gas line is also not as bad. The first hour of opening is for our kupunas, then the public, but there's always a line to get in right when they open the public, so better to go about an hour later when it dies down or on a week night (except thurs bc that's when they restock the ppe and everyone goes to grab them) to avoid the crowd.

Since the pandemic began I have not been back to costco except to put gas. Today my mom decided to pick up a pizza. When she went to the window they asked her for her membership card. I don't remember them ever asking for membership cards in the past. As long as I remembered anyone could purchase from the hot food pick up. So this is just to let everyone know in case they were not aware like we were not, they now require you to show your membership card.

They're all different, I guess. After doing my Costco gas review (I know you read that review) it came to my attention that I didn't write about the actual store. My bad, time to correct that. All the Costcos are pretty much the same but laid out different. I mean the Honolulu Costco cafes are outside while the Costco cafe Kapolei is inside. But what sets this one apart from the rest is well nothing, they're pretty much the same. There is just a bunch of interesting items for consumption. So come in and treasure hunt because we know they keep switching stuff around and some items are limited to a couple of weeks. Overall five stars. Who doesn't love Costco except maybe chickens. Now excuse me, I gotta finish my 3 gallons of ketchup before it goes bad. M

I like this costco because it has different stuff from my usual kapolei costco but today not so impressed. I bought some flank steak that said weighs 3.53lbs I put it on my scale and it is 3.085lbs. So then I put the Styrofoam piece on it to see and only 3.096lbs. Ummm....something doesn't add up

I just called Costco's adminstrative office at 1:30pm today regarding an item I purchased from them last week. I had a safety concern and he pretty didn't care. I told him the Cinnabon Swirls had sharp plastic pieces in them because the container it's in is defective and breaks off into the food and my daughter almost ate it. He responded with.. "you can just bring your receipt for a refund" but I didn't even want a refund and I didn't ask for one. LOL. I asked him what will they do with my safety concern and he said they just wait until the item gets recalled.
