My go to Yeti store. Customer service is always awesome. Friendly and helpful staff. If u want close parking it may take a while to get one but if you're willing to walk there are lots of stalls near KFC. I like to browse while waiting for a table at Kunios. Every so often u find a treasure in there something in the right size for a great price. They had such great deals during Christmas it was a one stop shop for my Christmas gifts.

Cell phone addiction is robbing customer service as well as a sale. Walked in and was greeted with a look up at me, than back down to the cell phone. Employees need to be mindful of when to go on their phone (on breaks). I could be wrong that this young lady was on break at the register, so a break room away from customers is suggested. That way, there is no miscommunication from what is seen. Better Service Better Sale. Let this Yelp be a constructive criticism to grow and not a discouragement.

OMG .. I thought it was just me that customers service is crap but after reading previous post I'm glad its them. There was at least 4 employees standing around by the cashier when we arrived. I walked around and even went in the back where the sales section are at and no one approach me or said anything. I thought it was just the pandemic new employees or maybe be my ethinicity...( but I'm Asians like the employees).But man ...im a big fan of Hawaii clothing because I'm from the mainland and wanted to buy souvenirs....I hope owners will open their eyes and have a better plan on customer service training because I don't want to purchase knocks off shirts from Aloha Stadium.lol

My first visit in this shop in the Waikele shopping center, next to Party City. I was fortunate to find parking so I decided to browse while looking for a birthday gift. The store was covid ready, with hand sanitizer at the door and plexiglass at the register. I love the variety of t-shirts, beachwear and stickers. The staff is amazing. They were attentive, gave their sales pitch, showed me the hot sellers and then gave me space to browse. I noticed the cool, local kind stickers behind the registers and even added a couple to my spending spree. I'll return again, one day.

From the reviews prior i can see lots of customers complaining of service, i just went into the store recently and i believe upper management has addressed the problem because it's very different nowadays, the staff greets you and rushes to you then ask to see if your finding everything you need. Great improvements.. Lots of very young employees and maybe that's what was playing a role on responsibility on the job which probably pays minimal so they in turn don't really pay attention to how they are conducting business. The selection is slim to none. I wish i could justify why this business deserves to be in this space but i just can't.. there isn't much in this shop that i couldn't get from another surf shop that offers more to their consumers whether it's good prices or exceptional service. The culture needs a revamp. Local Motion has been around awhile and needs to learn how to adapt to the new age both in business and in products. Prices are high for the products and overall experience in this shop. Clean and tidy inside but that's probably because they hardly have foot traffic in here. Employees in masks but just stand behind the registers and hardly ever moves, this is the one shop that i see staffing never move from the same spot. Parking is limited to none due to the shop being smacked in the middle by restaurants and other stores. Maybe a new location would be better for the company and a new product manager? Kudos to the company for addressing the service in this location but i think the company needs a new approach and products to compete with other stores like T&C ect.

Actually NEGATIVE 100 stars...this happened at the Waikele store. Bought a pair of nice slippers for my hubby for Xmas. Went to different local motions to exchange them and none of them had any comparable slipper in size 11. This is such an average size it was hard to believe that none of the stores would have it in stock. I even asked to find something compatible and I would pay more, but nothing. So I asked for a refund my money so that I could go to another store to purchase slippers. They flat out refused and told me I could get store credit. What am I going to do with store credit? The wise a** rude little punk employee tells me you can buy something else , but I'm not going to refund your money because it's been passed 14 days since purchase. I was like ya "duh" it was a Christmas gift so I bought it BEFORE Xmas, i tried to go to the different locations around the island to look for the size I needed but they didn't have it and the "corona pandemic" made it harder to do this so that's why it's Jan and I am still trying to exchange it. The punk a** sales kid rolls his eyes at me and hesitantly puts his manager on the phone "talking smack about me on the phone with his back toward me." I talk to the manager who continues to refuse to refund my money due to store policy. So I ask him, "When will you be getting your new stock of slippers in so that I can exchange for the size I need? I can't tell you that because of Corona we have no idea when our next shipment will be coming in!" So you are telling me as a customer I can't catch a break because of Corona, but as retailer you can screw your customers over regardless of it??? I used to be a loyal customer to Local motion for decades. NEVER AGAIN. I hope they go out of business, I hope this pandemic takes them down. They need to get new employees that know how to deal with a customer in a appropriate way. They need have more empathy for their customers who are shopping T their store during a PANDEMIC. SHAME ON YOU!! I will never spend another penny in any of your stores ever again. And I will tell everyone I know to do the same. I will be shopping at surf shops that know how to treat their customers right.

TERRIBLE I had a employee be very disrespectful to me giving a lot of attitude and acting like they didn't want to be there i think his name was Austin. I tried talking to a manager but there wasn't any. The manager came later on and I wasn't impressed at all. Needs new manager I think his name was Robert. And he was super weird and rude talking to him

This waikele location has horrible customer service. No one greets you when you walk in, and as you walk around the store, the employees walk right past you and pretend you're not even there. Was planning on buying a yeti bottle and a bodyboard, but I walked out without buying anything because I rather support a company that has good employees (T&C).

this location sucks! no returns are allowed and they dont even tell you! i bought my boyfriend board shorts from here and the size and fitting was wrong so i came back the next day to return it but the guy said no returns at this location only. i told him my receipt says i can only return it at this location and he said no you can turn it at the others. so why does my receipt say only waikele location and why does the other stores do returns and not this one! especially since the fitting rooms are closed! i do not recommend this location.

Maybe they should update their store hours because this is the second time I've come to the store and it's closed! Came on Friday at 9 as it says it opens at 9am, stayed for an hour and then find out it opens at 11. I come now at 7:19pm and it says it's open till 9pm and it's closed. So irking
