I cannot thank Rent-A Center enough for coming to my rescue! After being away from home for a few days, I come home to a refrigerator that wouldn't stop beeping and displaying a power outage error code. I spent a LONG time trying to troubleshoot the problem myself as it was already later in the evening and too late to call any professionals. Nothing worked! I was very concerned because my fridge and freezer weren't as cold as they should be. The next morning, I chatted online with a Whirlpool representative who was of no help. The representative just asked me if I did all the things that I had tried the night before. Basically, they said there was nothing they could do for me and I would need to contact someone locally. I remember my parents having their fridge break in the past, so I asked them what they did while waiting for a new fridge. They said they rented a fridge. I didn't even know that was a thing! They recommended me to Rent-A-Center. I called them as soon as they opened. Initially, they said they could put me on standby the next day and if that didn't work out, then they could put me on the list for the following week. I couldn't wait that long! I guess the employee could hear the desperation in my voice and went to speak to their manager. Somehow they were able to squeeze me into their already busy schedule for the day. After looking through their inventory, the employee was able to find me a 14 cubic feet fridge. You agree to a month long rental, which came out to $108.28 plus taxes and because I would need drop off/pick up it was another $150. She took all my contact information, including my social security number which I thought was odd, but she said it was to see if I qualify. The paperwork was emailed to me so I could DocuSign it. She also mentioned that I would need to call one week prior to the expiration of the month's rental to confirm pick up or ask for an extension. Then I was all set! By about 4:30 that afternoon, the refrigerator rental was dropped off to my unit! Just needed to plug it in for about two hours and I was able to transfer (and save!) most of what was in my fridge/freezer. Bless your hearts Rent-A-Center Waipahu! Thank you for your amazing customer service. They really put customers first. You saved the day!

Sammy was my representative and she was awesome. I called in the last 5 minutes before closing and she was able to answer my questions and setup what I needed and picked up my item the next day less than a half hour of paperwork or faster. Definitely underrated, above and beyond five stars!

On 4/7/23 I entered an agreement with this place for a queen mattress and a platform spring, as I was having company and needed an extra bed. I only needed the bed from 4/27/23 (delivered on 4/25/23) to 5/3/23 (stranded pick up on 5/4/23). I understand that the rental is for a month, which is fine…as long as it was delivered and picked up as agreed. I paid the rental on 4/7/23 “IN FULL.” At that time, I also made arrangements for the pick up on 5/4/23.When no one came on 5/4/23, my husband called the store as a reminder…he was told that there was no pick up scheduled, however they sent someone out for the pick up the following day (5/5/23).ON 5/8/23 THESE CROOKS CHARGED ME FOR A MONTH’S RENTAL!!!As I write this review, I am on hold with Rent-a-Center’s Corporate Office. I initially waited from 8:15a to 8:42a when Loxana answered to assist me. I told her the entire issue, then she said that she didn’t understand what I had explained. I again explained…she said that she would escalate my issue to the District Manager who would contact me within 24-48 hours. THIS IS COMPLETE NONSENSE!!!DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!!!After paying for the initial payment (the one month I needed, which they called a “short term rental”) my bank card information should not have been entered into their system, as I had already paid my one time payment)They received one star because the system won’t allow for ZERO!!!They won’t have to worry about me anymore AFTER I GET MY MONEY BACK!! I will go somewhere else and buy whatever I need before I do business with these crooked clowns again!!!To each, their own…do what you want, me…I’m never dealing with this company again at all in any state!!!
