My sister recently found out she’s pregnant, so we wanted to celebrate with a small gathering. We bought some food and planned to get a cake with the message “Baby Garcia #1” to surprise our parents. We headed to Safeway to order the cake, and Rozanne was the only person working at the bakery.
Initially, we selected a cake, but she informed us that the piping tip was too large to fit our message, so we chose a larger cake instead. While she was able to accommodate our request for the second cake, I was disappointed by her demeanor; she seemed completely uninterested and lacked any enthusiasm for our special occasion.
When the cake was ready, the lettering on top was poorly executed—honestly, my daughter could have done a better job. It was frustrating because the cake would have looked better without any writing at all. It’s disheartening to see someone in a role like this who doesn’t seem to care about their work or the joy it brings to customers.
Overall, I wish the experience had matched the excitement of the news we were celebrating.

I had in my Safeway "My List" cereal for $1.99 if I buy 4. When I went to the cashier, she charged me regular price. I showed her the amt it should be in my phone. She called her supervisor and it was decided to void it and start again. She said next time I needed to go in "Wallet" so they can scan the QR code. The line was getting longer so she quickly rang it up. It still wasn't at the sale price. I went to Customer Service to let them know how frustrated I was and wanted to just return them. Joy, the person that helped me was pleasant and and very helpful and took the time to make sure I had them for the correct price. I have ran into pricing problems like this before. The store needs to make sure that cashiers are charging the right price for things esp when the customer is letting them know what the correct price should be. It gets really frustrating. I have friends that have the same problem so I have learned to always check my receipt.

There is zero customer service first of all. You go to the deli and feel like you are committing a crime by looking. The self check out looks straight forward but don’t think it is one line, or two lines, or one line nobody knows. Just cut off anyone waiting like most people do there, and the half awake cashier will tell them it’s ok and it’s your fault. I have never seen this place organized for people wanting to check out, ya know customers, your alternative is one cashier with 7 people in line, good luck. people are constantly looking around in line and thinking “how can I get out of here in less than 15 minutes” it’s crazy on most days. Horrible store in my opinion. The manager can’t even be bothered to put in lines for who goes where, and it’s been like that for years. Bottom line is, that it is always a very uncomfortable and anxious experience when I go in this store. It is a free for all and nobody cares.

Today my wife and I went to the Safeway Deli and the woman Geri was pleasant and ever so helpful. Makes me very happy to be home and greeted with the best customer service. Thanks Geri at Safeway Deli Waikele.

Store chain in Hawaii falsely advertises things on sale. They advertise that the 2 for 5 Friday deal for 24oz pepsi was on sale, but they don't have it in stock at their store.
