This place used to be called "Paradise Autos, Inc.", but it is still the same owner (old haole guy with white hair and beard). Changed their name because of the bad reviews and reputation! I got a car from here, and they promised I would get approved for a loan with Hickam FCU... I just needed to give $1,000 down and first payment of $200; however, the dealership never got the okay and ended up lying about how much I made, and when the FCU saw my pay stubs, they backed off (I showed him my paystubs, so he knew how much i was making, but must have known I wouldnt get approved without fudging the numbers). I was putting money in the account monthly for a couple months thinking it was going towards the car, but then the owner was furious he wasn't receiving money. He then demanded that I just pay him out of pocket for the car at (what would have been) the FCU's interest rate and treated me like I was the bad guy! But he really thought I was going to pay out of pocket with no paper trail (that would have been a good decision lol). Even threatened me that I would have to pay for cleaning the car if he took it back! I essentially ended up paying $1,200 to rent the car for a couple of months, but he did end up "repoing" it right before Christmas. Of course he had no recourse to force me to pay anything else because there was no loan! Ended up being a blessing in disguise because the car started to have all sorts of problems and was going to be a mess to fix... sleazy people with shady practices. Buyer beware.

Absolutely the BEST and most reliable group of mechanics and service agents. I have been taking my Aunties Car to them for over 9 yrs now.I always like to request for "Robert" who is 1 of the best mechanic, Robert has been the mechanic I always request. The prices are very good and they always give an estimate before doing the work. I highly recommend Midas @ the Waipahu location if your in need of reliable car maintenance .

A friend recommended Midas Waipahu. I went in on Saturday morning and the ladies immediately greeted me with friendly customer service. All workers behind the desk wore a mask and the place was very neat and clean. She pointed out the hand sanitizer for my use. After the initial inspection the mechanic went over the repair estimate and showed me the problem area. Very easy to understand, patient, and he answered my questions. One problem, though. He couldn't find the part to repair my car. He said he would keep calling around and get back to me. I went home and around 1:00pm received a call. He found the part. Hurray! I immediately returned for the repair the same day. I would recommend Midas Waipahu to a friend because of their great service. Mahalo nui!

I would like to recognize Lito and thank him for his excellent customer service and assistance helping out a fellow Army Veteran. From my conversation on the phone with Lito to his assistance and Midas was above and beyond anything I've experienced in 52 years of life.......I wholeheartedly recommend taking your vehicle to Midas in Waipahu. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All the mechanics from the youngest to the manager are top notch mechanics with lots of experience. - did my oil change 1/20 - 6/20 did my alignment at lex, tech noticed heavy oil leak coming from oil filter.- the same day went to Midas and the guy said "yea it was loose" and he tightened it. But my point isI've been driving with loose oil filter for months, imagine if I didn't do my alignment?!?

A friend referred me to go to Midas Waipahu for their outstanding service so I booked my appointment for a oil change on line. When I called before going there just to confirmed, I was told that they were all booked for the day. What's the sense of having on line reservations if someone is not checking it. I finally got a call back and they told me we finally checked our on line appointments but can you come in at a later time. What ??? No thank you I'll go somewhere else. What a waste of my time.

I initially brought my 4Runner to get its brakes looked at. Although my brakes will cost more than my vehicles worth, I decided to get my oil done. They immediately said "yes" and I was able to get my oil changed. Even though I didn't get my brakes done, their service was amazing! I'll definitely refer them to others.

While driving my truck, noticed there was significant bouncing when going over bumps, and a grinding noise when applying the brakes. Took my truck to Midas due to hearing positive reviews from friends and reading the online reviews. I have to admit, service was outstanding! Pricing was good, as they do offer discounts. Another positive is receiving a Lifetime warranty on brake pads. Mahalo Midas.

I made an appointment on Monday for my car to have an oil change Saturday morning. I arrived early Saturday morning, only to be told that they will not see me even though I have an appointment, I need to go to SpeeDee oil change to have my oil change. I replied to the woman, I have an appointment here. She said no, we don't do oil changes, you need to go there. I am not sure if this is a new policy between Monday and Saturday, as I did not receive a phone call from Midas explaining the shift in location I went to SpeeDee, spoke with the attendant, was told I would need to wait 45-60 minutes. He apologized for the mishap was very remorseful for the way I treated at Midas. My car was put in right away. I have brought all my cars to Midas to have various work done on them, however, I am greatly saddened by the way the front desk has been managed this past year. I will find a new place for my cars to serviced.

Needed a quick state inspection for my car. I called the staff was very friendly and helpful. When I arrived I checked how long the job would take which was reasonable for being last minute about 40 mins. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Once the work was completed I paid and was out the door and back on the road in less than 40 mins. Definitely will be going back in the future.

My parents took my car here for oil changes while I deployed. They like coming here so i'll give these guys a try. They also sent me a reminder that my safety inspection was due. This location is next to St. Joseph's Church in Waipahu. Goal- Oil change and Safety inspection. I used yelp to book the appointment. Customer service called me within 5 minutes. Booked the appointment for noon. Too easy! I showed up 15 mins early. They checked me in pointed me to their oil change section. Have them my info and took a seat. 10 minutes later Safety check, Oil Change and free tire rotation completed. Waiting area was clean and restroom available. Time is valuable. Mahalo Midas for the quick service!

I came here after visiting another oil change spot. The OTHER spot told me it would be 2 HOURS or so to finish my oil change. I don't know about you, but my time is precious. I did not want to wait 2 hours or so. I remembered coming to Midas before, so I decided to just drive by and see what the wait was. To my surprise, they had no wait, and were done with my car in less than 30 minutes. WHOA! Talk about speedy! They asked if I wanted a tire rotation too! If you come, Just walk in! You can call, but I just drove there and got my car serviced. Overall, I paid a reasonable price and I was out in less than 30 minutes. That is a LOT better than wasting my time and twiddling my thumbs for 2 hours. My husband now comes here!

Super convenient & saved me so much time!! Called early morning to schedule appointment. They were very reasonable with many time slots open. Staff was very nice, the aunties there are so friendly. They explained everything for my car and what was safe to use. Went for a oil change and safe check. I was done in 1 hour and 15 minutes! Which was super great!!!!! They have TVs to watch, bathroom, AC waiting area. The mechanic even took me to the bay to show me a few things I should look out for and showed me my tires. Super happy I came here, and trust their work.
