I needed to cash some savings bonds and my bank wouldn't do it. I thought I would try at the BoC and not only were they helpful, the three clerks went above and beyond making the (surprisingly complicated) process smooth. I greatly appreciate it and would have switched banks if I hadn't been moving outside the country.
