Farragut State Park is a beautiful 4,000-acre campground located on Lake Pend Oreille, offering unique scenery, history, and an abundance of recreational opportunities. Once a World War II-era naval training station, it now provides 223 individual sites, camping cabins, and group camps. Visitors enjoy the most beautiful beach, swimming, fishing, hiking, and biking. The park features a disc golf course, a radio-controlled airplane field, equestrian facilities, a tree-to-tree adventure ropes course with ziplines, and the Museum at the Brig. It is a fun place with great rental facilities and clean restrooms, though some note the price can be high. The extremely welcoming hosts and proximity to local attractions add to its appeal.
Went to a middle school Districts track meet. Entrance fee is a little steep for a school event. The park is beautiful. The Cross Country track meet was very enjoyable and a great location! Lots of activities available. Hiking trails. RC aircraft area. Bathrooms. Picnic area. Remote. Quiet.
