Hours: Blackfoot Animal Shelter is a community-driven organization dedicated to the well-being of animals in need. Despite facing challenges such as an older facility and limited resources, the staff and volunteers at the shelter are consistently praised for their exceptional care and compassion. Visitors describe the team as "really helpful and friendly," with a professional and welcoming attitude, even over the phone. The employees are described as "amazing, loving people" who know each animal personally and go above and beyond to ensure their comfort and successful placement in new homes. While the facility may be overwhelmed at times, the community is encouraged to show more support, both financially and through volunteering. Adopters have shared positive experiences, with one individual noting that the adoption fees covered essential services like spaying/neutering and vaccinations, even though the pet they adopted had a minor health issue that was easily treated. Overall, Blackfoot Animal Shelter is praised as a "great little organization" that works tirelessly to rehome cats and dogs, despite the challenges it faces. The staff's dedication and the community's growing support suggest a bright future for this vital local resource.
