I bought a battery from this location, super nice younger lady was helpful and was going to switch it out for me, however they were short staffed and asked if I could come back, absolutely understandable so I did. The next day, I show up and am told by the manager that once again they are understaffed and if I could come back tomorrow, and I would get a guarantee on getting my battery exchanged ( my car has a bunch of different bolts and covers so I didn't know how to do it and didn't have the tools). Cut to yesterday I call and wouldn't you guess, the employee tell me to do it tomorrow!
Last night after I get off work, low and behold my car is dead, go figure. This morning I call and ask if they offer any off site services and before I could finish my sentence the dude cuts me off with a "no"
And a "if your battery takes more than ten minutes, we aren't gonna do it either" so when I politely informed him that the manager gave me a guaranteed switch for having to wait, he hits me with a "well that's too bad, she was misinformed then" and then proceeds to talk to me like a nuisance. I ended up spending the 80 dollars on tools and switching out the batteries myself. I don't know what about this required a grand prix pit crew, and it sucks because I really appreciate certain staff at this location ( a bigger bald gentleman that is super helpful and taught me how to replace my wipers in the rain, and the shorter younger lady who was going to replace my stuff regardless) but I hope it gets fixed.

My Granddaughter in law had car trouble yesterday 8-20-24 so she pulled into AutoZone at 9707 W. Fairview Ave. in Boise for desperately needed help. She was just trying to get home after a long day at dental Hygiene school. She is staying with us while going to school. She went inside to see if they had a meter if someone could check her battery. They was VERY rude to her and told her she would have to buy one. She bought one but another (White Lady) came in and they jumped through hoops to help her, even sent someone to help her. My Granddaughter is a (Black Young Lady) who is almost 5 months pregnant and was stuck out side in the heat. I headed over to her from Nampa to see if I could help her and when I got there I was livid and ran inside and asked to see the manager. The Lady behind the counter said she didn't think he was there but said she'd check. I followed her back and sure enough he was in the back with 3 other girls B.S.ing. I raised heck with him and he said they didn't have the tool to loan her. He said he had an old one but it only works part of the time. I told him to get it and try it, sure enough it worked. In the meantime another guy came in and they sure had one for him to use. The man said it was her alternator, we loaded up and took the car to Meineke and a REAL nice man by the name of Scott came right out and checked her car (all while making her feel so comfortable) He said it was the tensioner had broke and he jumped in right then and fixed it. I guess what I'm saying is NEVER take your car into AutoZone only take it to Meineke they were GREAT.

This store sold me the wrong parts and I noticed because the oil filter didn't fit and I took the sparkplugs back and had them check to see if they were the right ones. They checked and apologized for giving me the wrong ones and sold me another set but then gave me the first set they sold me instead of the new set. I didn't know until the manager and I looked at the receipts later. I put them in and the plugs hit the pistons, ruining my engine. I took them back and they discovered that not only had he given me back the wrong ones, but the second ones that he attempted to sell me were also wrong, so even if he'd handed me the second ones, they would have been incorrect. They refunded my money and said the district manager would contact me about repairing my car, saying if it ruined the coils too, they could replace those for me after the engine repairs happened. The district manager never called. I went back in the store and another manager showed me their contact info for the district manager. I called and emailed and an out of area district manager called me, told me it was my fault for not making sure they were right and said he'd call me back to let me know how they would handle it. He's never called back and it's been several weeks. I'll never buy parts from this company again! Destroyed my vehicle and then talked down to me and refused to take responsibility at a district level even after the store manager verified and apologized for the error, knowing his employee messed up multiple times. If you buy parts from this place, make sure you have a good attorney first! Worst customer service I've ever had from their district manager from Utah. The in-store managers were both friendly and apologetic and took responsibility for the error, but it didn't do much good when the people who could approve the repairs were rude and made no attempt to correct the mistake and the damage it caused.
