The only agent at the AVIS desk was friendly and patient. All the rental car desks were at the 1st floor of the airport.The flight was delayed and arrived at around 2 am. Not too many choices for us; the rental car we got was the sedan, and the interior space was quite small for 3 people and the ski gears. One good thing was that the car looked very clean and the mileage was low.

I made a reservation for 8 days, returned a car in four days, and didn’t get refund.At the time of booking I was told that I would be getting refund if car is returned early.

The vehicle we picked up was clean and was a very nice car to drive. We don't rent cars usually, the cost of the extra insurance was shocking to us. Surely you can do something about the price of that insurance.

Airport pick up and drop off right near baggage claim. Made the experience easy.and sighn in Airport to return car were great. A redo experience for sure.

The personal service was very good.Value for the cost, not so good.We got this little box of a car for over $100 per day. It's cheaper to use Uber.

Boise airport agents-terrible. I tried to call Avis 800 customer service & got completely unintelligent & unhelpful agents. They couldn’t answer simple questions like is my rental I made at the airport location or elsewhere.They have conflicting policies at the Boise airport than the Avis policy (from Avis website) on accepting debit /mastercards.Beware! Arbitrary rules at the airport that are not specified anywhere & not printed on Avis website or at the airport either. Maybe it was just a cranky lady who was making it up I have no idea.I had accidentally made a reservation downtown -not at the airport and the downtown location was closing before I could get there because my flight was delayed. Austin (the downtown agent) switched my reservation to the airport but the airport has conflicting rules from Avis -or so I was told by the agent. Still think it was just her way of being a jerk.I was able to get another rental downtown the following day and Austin was working ??I am very grateful that Austin was there at the Boise downtown Avis rental because he helped me get everything squared away the next day and got me into a great vehicle. He deserves a raise If you are trying to use a debit/visa/mastercard I suggest calling the airport rental directly. Don’t bother with the 800 agents, they are useless!! And be sure to take names of whoever tells you the policy.
