I’ve always struggled with maintaining an exercise routine and needed the accountability that personal training offers, and a friend recommended Body Basics. I finally signed up and have been really happy with my experience. Everyone is friendly, it’s never too crowded when I go, and my trainer helps me make minor adjustments that make a huge difference in activating the correct muscles. Now I see the additional benefits that personal training offers besides just accountability!

I have had a hard time committing to regular workouts, but I’ve been going to Body Basics for almost 2 years. Not only have I gotten more flexible and fit, but I’ve made a ton of new friends. Melissa does a great job of designing my workouts to push me toward my goals, keep it fun, and make sure that I stay healthy along the way. Highly recommend

I came to Body Basics already strong, but after a year with Nathan Huey, not only did I increase my capacity to push and pull more weight, Nathan fine-tuned my form, worked my small and medium muscle groups for better posture and function, and made me mindful of my body-mind connection. Great private gym! Great health coach!

Body Basics is treasure found in the Treasure Valley! They are the gold standard for what every gym should be. The staff are incredibly hospitable, exude excellence, and invest their heart and soul into your workouts and health goals. I'm afraid they are close to being shut down.They never answer the phone.When I came there twice there was only one person in the gym. And that was a coach.I was told to contact with Melissa and I never was able to reach her.The owner of the gym returned my call once and after that they all just disappeared.Overall the place looks nice and bright.

Body Basics is a magical place. It’s part Cheers, because when you walk in everyone knows your name and welcomes you warmly. I am a person who has anxiety in gym environments, and BB blows that out of the water. It is a wonderfully comfortable place to be. My trainer, Nate, is highly aligned with my analytical brain and tailors my workouts so I understand how what I’m doing affects my body. My health coach, Katie, is basically psychic with her ability to read what’s happening in my world and advise me as to how to keep myself centered and my nutrition balanced. As someone who was increasingly despondent and lost with their health goals, finding Body Basics has been a revelation that got me back on track to be a better me in all aspects. 20/10, would recommend. ?

Body Basics allows for an incredible workout experience. The environment is well maintained and never overcrowded. The entire staff ensures a fun, encouraging and safe workout for all! Melissa is an awesome trainer who inspires those she leads. Her workouts are personalized- challenging, yet always leave you feeling refreshed and energized. Melissa does a great job organizing our workout plans for the month, making sure we target the whole body while keeping our goals a priority. Melissa at Body Basics helped me recover from a skiing accident and she has been instrumental in getting me back up to speed. She is very knowledgeable, listens to each client's training goals, and designs a plan to get you there. Can’t recommend her enough. Body Basics overall has a welcoming atmosphere with a diverse mix of trainers and clients all working hard and having fun.

My trainer Katie Carpenter at Body Basics is the most incredible trainer. I have been training with a personal trainer for over 18 years. She is extremely knowledgeable about various forms of training, she is also extremely grounded and cares for each of her clients. She knows when to push you and when to pull back based on your energy level and stress that day. Her attention to details in showing you the proper way to complete each exercise helps to achieve your goals but more importantly helps eliminate injuries which means a lot as I age. I highly recommend Body Basics and Katie Carpenter.

Body Basics is the best protein shake and smoothie shop in town, they are delicious. I go there multiple times per week and highly recommend the banana and almond butter protein shake. The dining room has a bit of a health/exercise focused decor theme which is a bit unique but it grows on you. If I am being completely honest the service can be a bit slow sometimes, usually takes about an hour to get each smoothie and the waitresses can be pretty pushy telling you to do push ups or pull ups and things while you are waiting but worth the wait in the end. So much better than Jamba Juice in my opinion.

Nathan is incredible and really focuses on his clients providing the structure and attention needed to not only meet but exceed their goals. I've been working out at Body Basics for over 6 years and I really love it! My trainer, Adrian, is knowledgable, fun, and pushes me to do more than I think I can do. James and Christine and their entire staff have such a positive attitude and they truly care about every one who works out there. They've created a great atmosphere of health and wellbeing!
