On 6/17 I had Boise Spring Works install a new suspension setup and leaf kit. I gave them the business based on their stellar reviews and the fact they were a small, local company. Before retrieving the vehicle I had no less than 3 conversations with the office and at no time did they notify me of a 10% card fee as I would have happily paid in cash, In addition they further failed to notify me of the fee when processing the transaction at the counter and even when given the chance to resolve the dispute after being told that a failure to do so would result in this poor review, they refused, claiming that a small sign on the far corner of the counter was a proper disclaimer, that a 10% swipe fee is standard, and that they did not have the ability to accomplish a reversal. Having spent almost 10 years in merchant services I can say without equivocation that this is untrue. At the very least it is discourteous and borderline dishonest not to mention the additional charge at the time of the transaction and here in lies my contention, not the fee but their failure to disclose it. In continuation, immediately upon leaving the parking lot I noticed a loud grinding noise due to a dust plate they had accidentally bent during install. Had they test drove the vehicle before releasing it as any professional would have done, they would have caught it right away. I promptly pulled over and notified them of the issue as the shop was still open for another half hour and they refused to take a second look in the immediate, resulting in scratched rotors which were less than 2 weeks old, exacerbating the damage and forcing a return trip the next morning. Further and although the least of my complaints but relevant nonetheless, they charged me for 2 hours of labor to install some quick lift struts on the front, the same labor cost to install a brand new leaf kit and shocks on the rear, which seems odd, yet I am no mechanic. Finally, amidst all of this and the real reason for this poor mark was the atrocious attitude of their shop manager Jeanie, who was not only beyond rude but unhelpful. I'll admit upon her refusal to help me seek resolution I displayed the same energy, in response to which she felt the need to attempt to initiate a trespass robbing me of the 800 mile tightening service I duly paid for. Was the $44 on a near $1300 service worth this trouble? This behavior certainly seems out of character when compared to their previous reviews. I was very reasonable in my simple but justified requests and gave Boise Spring Works every opportunity to rectify the situation before writing any review, had they complied with the standards of common decency I would have given them 5 stars, but alas that sentiment has passed and in totality, I cannot in good faith recommend this shop.

I took my truck in because the back leaf springs weren't working as well as the shop. Rick gave me a quote, told me a couple of options. I picked one. Great choice. My truck rides very comfortably. He gave me a time frame to be completed, right on time. Great work.

I used this company for two projects in the past. I dropped off another project for them to work on and they couldnt pull it off. After they had the parts for nine months, I had to drive there to pick them up without any work being done. I left one message to see what the progress was, and no return calls. When I went to pick up the parts, they were ho-hum, and had no information about what to do next. Keep in mind, that they did great on the other projects, but dropped the ball and didnt return calls. Maybe it wasnt a big enough project for them but I counted on them. They couldve just let me know that it wasnt something they could do instead of having my parts for nine months. I gave them the benefit until they didnt return my call.
