I have an auto loan with Cap Ed, for some reason you are unable to make principal only payments through the app. I was told every time I need to make a principal only payment I have to do the chat feature and have a customer service rep apply it as such. I have to do this every month and I feel as if they are making it prohibitively difficult so that they can make more money.

Great credit union/bank. Only think that they have bad against them is that their debt cards are now Mastercard and if you pay online your mortgage or rent. They charge 35.00 fee processing 🤦♂️🤷♂️ that’s 420.00 a year.

Customer Service is rough, at least with Auto loans. Lots of other credit unions to go to in Treasure Valley. Suggest you go elsewhere.

I went to the Park Center branch of CapedCu today to get my loan set up for my new car. I was met by Nancy, who was very nice and helpful.I set down with Kiamana Raines, and she did such a great job of taking care of what I needed. She explained every single thing along the process and was so efficient, as well as writing down all the steps for me to navigate the website. Just really a great experience with Kiamana today. Thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism. It's very appreciated!!

I have been here for 20 minutes just trying to get my credit card unblocked. The teller had no idea how to do it. I was better off calling in so thats what I had to do. This is absolutely unacceptable.they replied by saying that they really cared about verifying that it was me that made it to charges, but they never once asked me for my ID or for the password on my account

Connor Flynn at the Highland Boise location was fantastic. He helped get me set up with my first credit card and made the process very easy and comfortable. Very friendly and nice!

No one available for phone calls- automated calling system that goes in loops, on hold for 15+ minutes, super annoying.

I can never reach anyone by phone. Whenever I leave my number for a callback, I don’t end up hearing back. It’s just not worth it. I wait for extended periods of time to reach someone to no avail. I understand being busy, but it’s just not logical that every branch is busy at all times. In person everyone’s super helpful and it’s all smiles, I’ve been with them for a while now but due to the inability to reach anyone and some troubles with services I just had to switch banks. It’s a good place if you have time on your hands.

Over all I really like CapEd! My family has used them as our main financial institution for 3 generations now. I personally have used them for over 10 years now. I have only ever had minor everyday banking issues that they have always fixed fast and with good customer service. I recently tried to use them for a mortgage loan on our first home. At first they were helpful and sounded like they would have the best rates and terms. Then after finally finding a home and trying to take the next steps they changed their fees and pricing on the estimate by a lot. They acted like they didn't want my business and was annoyed with my phone calls. Paul in the mortgage department was nice but not willing to take the time to describe the whole process and answer our first time home buying questions with much detail. This situation with their mortgage officer has made me rethink ever coming to them for loans in the future.

I love CapEd! They are always the lowest when it comes to financing. I like that they dont ever hold on to my direct deposits and I typically get paid a day before everyone else does. This location has always been helpful. Very rarely do I have to go in to the branch for banking, thanks to online banking now, but whenever I do, they are so amazing! Ive been with CapEd for almost 4 years now, and I wont be changing anytime soon.

Have an auto loan with caped. I feel like I would've been better off doing business with a buy here pay here dealership! These people are unorganized, untrustworthy, and will add every single dollar to your loan that they can during the duration of your loan! Avoid them try ICCU!
