I cancelled my service on 9/24 and because I'm two days into their billing cycle they're still trying to charge me the full month of internet for $75 literally only having two days of internet. Apparently they don't prorate for the services used and the service rep quoted me some email they sent out back in 2019. Literally nowhere on my cancellation email did it specify any of that nor was I given information that this was going to happen. Make sure you know when your billing date ends or you’re screwed paying for a whole month. Utterly trash company and wasted 10 minutes of my life just waiting to get through their phone tree system just to hear that.

You literally ruined our yard and dug through the center of our entire backyard for a neighbors wire because your workers were lazy and didn’t want to dig along the permitted like it was originally laid out by the workers for you guys to do. You dug up over 30ft of our backyard grass and now created a huge line of dirt through the back. How on earth is this legal?! Why didn’t you ask us knowing we were home the whole time. The first time years ago they never even came back to bury the wire so us and the neighbors constantly argued over it. Now you come back to dig it after running a new one and completely move it from where it was when it was confirmed there wasn’t even pipes anywhere around the backyard. If we hit this wire while redoing our backyard it’s on you all. This is ridiculous! You’ve made a large portion of our yard unusable for gardening/renovating. We don’t even use century link and you’ve ensured we never will.

Just go with Sparklight. We had CenturyLink for over a year, but suddenly our internet started acting spotty. They would only give us an ELEVEN HOUR WINDOW for a tech to come out and said they'd charge $99 if the tech were to come out and we weren't home during that time. CenturyLink has terrible customer service, terrible policies, and they don't prorate your account once you cancel.

The worst wifi I’ve ever experienced. We paid $76/month. 2 people couldn’t be on the wifi at the same time. Extremely slow, horrible service, horrible customer service. For PS5 owners - for the past 5 months we couldn’t play it or download updates for anything. We couldn’t figure out why downloads kept failing. Well, we finally switched our wifi to SparkLight and our PS5 updated automatically and we can play with quite literally no problems or lagging. I’m in awe at how awful CenturyLink is ?

we had century link for a year and we loved it, but then we had to move and switch services. i called and cancelled our services a little before as we finished moving out by april 30th. now we’re getting calls saying we owe for may and that they’re going to send it to collections. my husband paid it even though he shouldn’t have. very irresponsible on your end.

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not use this company. Unless you like being treated like poorly. Saying The customer service is terrible is an understatement. If you are an existing customer it is impossible to talk to a human, you only get generic answers and limited menu options. After making that mistake too many times I clicked the new customer option, got someone within 1 minute. I was calm and respectful, told them what was happening with our “ up graded internet” (it’s never actually worked properly). And was told that they couldn’t do anything and that she would have to transfer me, I requested to be transferred to a real person as the automated service could not help me further. She said me check what I can do, then just transferred me back to the same automated service… I called back, someone answered didn’t say anything but I could hear people talking in the background then transferred me back to the automated system… all in all I could tell they just did not want to deal with me. I wonder if they get this often. Needless to say I will be canceling our internet service ASAP.

-COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME-This company is 100% automated be warned!I've spent 4 hours on the phone with their automated services just to have the operators hang up on me after making it through the machine gauntlet. I run a property management company with 16 accounts at Sparklight. This is my first time using Century Link and I will not use them for any more accounts moving forward.

Installer never showed up. Called and was informed that my appointment day had been changed without notice. Have tried cancelling the order, no luck. Installer will show up today, no one will be home. I got same day installation from another provider when centurylink failed to show. I got 10 times the speed at the same price.

Deceptive pricing..."Lifetime" pricing I signed up for lasted only six months, then jumped by $10...so, I should be dead after 6-months? When I closed my account after six months, they closed all of my billing too...naturally, I thought all had been paid, since my account was an autobill...NOPE! How was I supposed to even know there was a bill to pay when I received NO notification or statement until it was past due and they charged a late fee of $18.00!!!This is incredibly sad because I had no problems with the internet service itself....this is just a VERY DECEPTIVE COMPANY with it's advertising and billing practices!!!!!

The worst service I’ve ever had. They do not email you or mail you a bill. Have fun with their service help number. Hope you have an hour to kill I would go out of business if I had hundreds of one star reviews. Find another provider. Hey it’s June first and they’ll have someone out by June 10th lol. No worries mate.

On May 8th 2023 I ordered the internet service and scheduled for May 15th installation, no one showed up and I called the customer service representative who said May 16th early morning, someone will come to install. On May 16th, I tried the online service again who said I’ll have to wait until May 24th due to system scheduling error. I can’t believe I have to wait half a month to get my internet done.

Wife and I are moving to west Meridian from out of state. CenturyLink online said our address had fiber so we called to set up services. Customer service rep was the worst service representative I have ever experienced. He was argumentative, talked over me multiple times, and he tried to convince me that 60mb/s would be enough for my family with 2 parents working from home and 8 devices. He continually interrupted me and I had to say,"at this point you are being argumentative, are talking over me, continually interrupting me and now you are wasting my time so I am going to hang up." I will call back and talk to another representative but that will only be after I try sparklight and satellite options. Wow.. really impressed how horrible the man was who spoke to me @ 3:40 pm today. CenturyLink, is this normal for your Boise, Idaho office?

Centurylink customer service is totally awful. If you are lucky you might be done in an hour after repeating each step multiple times, THEN you finally get a repair date a week in the future requiring you to be available from 8 to 5. Way to screw up a whole day. I'm looking for alternatives, I can't take it anymore.
