Not sure how the store is itself for shopping, but I pulled up a couple months ago to drop off a whole bunch of bags of donations and boxes. The three young guys standing outside just stood there. Staring at me as I drove up. No smile, no wave, no hello, no nothing. I rolled down my passenger window and said hi there. I have a whole bunch of donations in the back. They stood just staring at me. I got out of my car and opened up the back of my car for them. As they were getting near the end of unloading my car I asked one of them if I could please have a receipt. He just stared at me as he got the paper and handed it to me. It's like dudes, seriously? I'm dropping off donations for needy people. How are you so extremely unfriendly to people who are willing to help out others? Take pride in your work and try to have a smile and be friendly or get a job out of the public's view. I'll never donate here again. They made me feel so uncomfortable and like I was doing something 'wrong' or I was such an inconvenience bothering them to actually have them do their job. I'll go across the street to the other donation locations down Fairview next time.

I found the Best Brown Wooden Desk at Desert Industries Boise today! It is my first Furniture purchase at DI! I love how my desk is Distressed and sold "as-is!" Lana was a really great Cashier! I love how DI hires Disabled people like me in order to teach them job skills and help them get back on their feet! I would apply to work there, but I'm starting my own Health Foods Business, PEAPOD LLC, out of Meridian Idaho in The United States of America!I LOVE!!! how Desert Industries Thrift Stores round the selling price to the "Nearest Whole Dollar Amount!" I'm going to defiantly do this when I open my PEAPOD LLC store in your City, Town, Challet, Village, or Hamlet! You will always be Welcome at Desert Industries or Dot's Store regardless of what "Color You Are" or what Country you are from! So, whether you are White, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Red, Purple, Black, Asian, African, Middle Eastern, Jewish, Hebrew, American, Columbian, Disabled, Suffer from Addiction Problems, or just an "Awesome Google Guide Like Me who lives in a Trailer Park, whether you live under a Tree, or in Paris, or a $$$$$9 Trillion Dollar$$$ Penthouse in Manhattan New York, visit Desert Industries and be sure to check out "Dot's Store" doing business as PEAPOD LLC in the future!Thank you, friend;)"!Scott alias Dot

This the cleanest, most organized, best smelling thrift store I’ve ever been to. Color coordinated clothing, accessories and housewares!

Very big store with lots of choices with okay prices. My experience had a lot of very unfriendly staff members who didn't seem to care about customer assistance or respect personal space. There was one gentleman in particular who repeatedly would lean into me or over me while I was looking to put stuff on the shelves. I do understand there is a job to do, but towering over someone on the ground or forcing yourself in between the shelf & the customer is extremely uncomfortable & unprofessional.

This store is very clean and well organized. Dressing rooms are tidy and well attended and staff/volunteers are friendly. Prices are reasonable, with many clothing items being priced $5-$7.

I found this place on yelp. There was plenty of parking. This place was so extremely organized I thought it was a department store. First everything is organized by sections and then color. The kid's section was so easy to navigate. I knew where to look for size and color. They had fitting room. Everything was clean. Pricing was great. The guy who rang us up was extremely helpful and fr. This is definitely a must !

Purchased a clock for $3, got home and didn't work. When I went to see if I could exchange for another, they just said, "nope". Didn't even apologize or work with me. Disappointed with service.

It's clean and well organized. Love that they provide job training to help people find work outside of D.I. and then provide training for new employees to start the cycle over again. Also love how donations may be sent all-over the world to help others. My favorite thrift store for many reasons!

Good thrift store - organized & clean. They have lots of items, and the people are nice. They have great sweaters. Don't like their church's politics.
