I just saw the employee mandee let someone in without an appointment after telling me that I can't get in without an employee. All I needed was to renew my license. Had I known you needed an appointment I would have made one ahead of time. Considering there was less than 10 people in their I feel she could have made an exception, considering she literally just did in front of me.

I found this to go very quickly and effectively. The lady that helped me was a sweetheart. I agree with this app't only arrangement due to the massive amounts of ppl that live in Boise.

Got married in South Carolina March 2024 (resident of Idaho), needed to change my last name on my drivers license. Already had my new social security card in my new name, absolutely no issue with the social security office. Took everything to the DMV (certified marriage certificate, social security card, proof of residency, etc). My certified marriage certificate/license was denied THREE different times because the attendant said "this isn't a certified copy in the state of Idaho" again, I got married in South Carolina, the marriage certificate was filed with a Charleston County Clerk in the State of South Carolina, signed & stamped. I called the Clerk in South Carolina and told her it was denied and even she did not know what to do. I eventually had to get a letter from the probate Judge in Charleston County in order for them to "approve" my last name change. I understand there are processes for approval but, what in the world? Do the attendants not understand that people get married outside of Idaho and other states' marriage certificates look different? Then, the last attendant who ended up approving my certificate (after the third time) said "I wouldn't have had an issue with this the first time you brought it in" why aren't the standards for approval consistent? I'm so confused on how their attendants determine whose marriage is certified and whose isn't. Mind blowing and a waste of my work time.

Wow! I made an appointment for out of state registration (temp) and it was fast & efficient. The lady that helped me (shorter hair and tongue ring) was absolutely amazing -nice, efficient, and knowledgeable!!

It was alot different than before because this is the first time I've ever done an appointment on the Division Motor Vehicle Website and so it was all new to me.

I never thought id see a company go so far backwards in technology. They used have the technology and capability to print drivers licenses on the spot. But instead, they increase the price to renew, and give you a temporary piece of paper, mail a new id within 3-5 business days. As if that was counter productive enough, they increased the price again, and do away with the temporary id's all together! Now you get your hole punched id, a receipt, and a 14-21 day wait!

Went in to get my driver’s license and to test for it on the computer and we didn’t know you needed an appointment to do that… so we were a walk in. Walked up to the desk at the door and said I’m here for my drivers written test. “Do you have an appointment” no… ok well cya! No that’s not how this is gonna work. She then said well I’ll call you up when you’re available to test.. she never came up to us to ask for a number or anything! I went up to ask what’s going on she gave me a number and went to window #12 I needed my birth certificate and we came in a few weeks ago and handed it to a lady who works there and did she bother to scan it and keep it on file? NOPE! and she said well without your birth certificate you ain’t gonna test today “unfortunately” waste of gas waste of time.. maybe if you guys over there took some effort and time and hired some people that are willing to care and help you that would be awesome.

November 1st at around 4pm. My license expired because I wasn't paying attention to the date. The young lady at the front let me know they didn't do walkins but said she would see if she could fit me in anyway. There was a cancelation and was able to fit me in. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The lady getting me through the process was quick and efficient. I greatly appreciate them getting me in when they didn't have too. Great county Employees that help when they can.

Why even have your phone number listed for people to call in and speak to a person? All they do is constantly place you on hold with the intention of never picking up again.

They gave me less than one day to provide proof of insurance for a recreational vehicle that hasn't been on the road, with another year of registration left, when the last insurance has been expired for months. Else they suspend my registration and I lose the extra year I paid for. Real nice. Maybe go after the idiots who are going around in their daily drivers without insurance and driving recklessly instead or the ones who refuse to change their out of state plates and get an in-state license because they can't pass a driving test.

The lady I spoke with was so rude. I brought all of my veteran documentation, (Dd214) including my last ID that had my veteran designation on it and she refused to put my veteran designation on my ID. So she just invalidated my service. Which is very disrespectful in my opinion. Every time I asked a question I got a snappy rude answer. I’m sorry you hate your job but that’s not our fault.

The people here are rude. The lady I dealt with today was just unpleasant. I had questions I wanted to ask, but when I asked the first, the lady was so rude I figured I’d better not bother her while she was working at her job. Wild.
