I roll in to Fred Meyer's to get cupcakes, birthday candles, and a lighter. They won't sell me the lighter, unless they're allowed to scan the back of my state drivers license. Excuse me! Fred Meyers does not need to know my height, weight, driving record, date of birth and address to buy a lighter. Some funny excuse about somebody wasn't checking IDs, so... checked my ID, but you don't get to scan my license and use all that info to market to me for the next 10 years. I'm shopping someplace else for a while.

I was required to show ID to purchase a six-pack of beer even though I'm 66 years old. The checker said an ID is required to purchase lighters and dry ice too. I won't purchase any products from FM where ID is required.

They're all very friendly and professional. I don't understand why so many people have put negative comments on here. They can be under staffed like everywhere else but they work extra hard to take care of their customers in a timely and friendly manner.

So idk why this Fred myer (specifically the pharmacy) doesn't have raving reviews. It blows my mind honestly. Adam who has been working there for the last couple years (as far as I kno...I'm sure he's been there longer) but this pharmacist gives me EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE EVERY DARN TIME. He knows me by name so when I call on the phone and he picks up...he knows EXACTLY who am I and has resolved all my problems before I even get there...so my service is extremely logistical and most of all EXCEPTIONAL. it seems like people on here love to comment on their one in a million bad times when they come to this Fred myer. BUT I can deal with one bad time because I know when I come here I will have A MILLION GOOD EXPERIENCES. Thanks Adam and all the pharmacists and techs that work their butts off here....I APPRECIATE YOU!

I have been a Fred Meyer shopper for over 25 years, but I have finally cut up my card and I won't be back regardless of their rewards. It is impossible to go to their store and ever buy anything and make an exchange or return without standing in their line for over 20 minutes. It seems like they would get a separate department for their so-called banking with their Western Union money orders, and their lottery ticket bullshit. Nobody has that kind of time to stand around to exchange an 8.00 combo lock that doesn't work, and as they stay on shark tank, for that reason, I am out!

I can’t say how much I appreciate the staff! They are always thoughtful and friendly! This pharmacy is as busy as any out there but they always seem to fill my prescriptions in a timely manor! Pharmacists Berry and Marisa have been very helpful when I needed prescriptions in a hurry!

Last year they were really slow, with only one person at the window even if there were 15 people waiting. I pointed out that people were leaving because of the delay. Soon after they changed their policy so that if there are lots of customers the bring someone forward. Thank you and way to go!!

How do you run out of medication that should be in stock all the time? My 84 year old mother has to go through withdrawals because someone doesn't do their job in ordering.

Absolutely the the best employee service of any grocery store I go to. Prices a little higher but excellent selections. It feels more comfortable there than trying to run down help at a Walmart.

I called in a refill on a prescription and was told it would be available to pick up after 5:30. I went at 6:15 and it wasn't ready. They told me it would be about 30 minutes. It still wasn't ready more than 30 minutes later after I got what I needed from the store. Prescriptions are never done on time. If there's an issue they don't contact you or the doctor they just do nothing until you ask them why your prescription was never completed.

The pharmacy is the absolute worst in Boise! The staff is unprofessional both by phone and in person. Several times they provided high dosage so I had to split pills. Difficulty changing insurance. Do yourself a favor and use Albertsons..

I’ve simply given this place too many chances. My dog needs his meds every 12 hours so we always renew multiple days in advance. Yesterday I got a text saying that his prescription was ready for pickup but when I went there not only was it not ready but there wasn’t a record of it being filled at all. I renewed it on their app and got the notification from them. They had no idea why and said I’d have to get my doctor to refill it. I’m going to do that of course, but at this point we need to give him his next pill in 3 hours and there’s no guarantee it’ll be ready. This is not the first time I’ve shown up for his prescription and have it not be there either. I’ve spent many a time playing phone tag between my vet and this pharmacy and I’m just tired of it.

Pharmacy techs are so friendly! If you go on their website you can look to see if your prescriptions are ready or find the estimated time that they will be filled. I am only giving four stars due to the the never-ending line that I almost always exists when I pick up prescriptions.
