Great that you can pick up the phone and speak to a person at this location. Decent car available for me without any wait, and no problems with return process. Staff available, and accessible throughout. Great experience. Other Hertz locations could learn many lessons from this one.

By the second day of my trip, the car that Hertz gave me ended up having a dead battery. This would not have been a big deal, until they tried to make me pay for the tow. For their own car.I was also unfortunate enough to have forgotten my sunglasses in the car after they retrieved it and swapped it for another car. Despite calling and asking for someone to check the vehicle (I knew exactly where they were), there was nothing to be found. I hope the lot attendant enjoys my $120 sunglasses, because I will never rent another car from this place again.

One of the worst managers I have ever done business with. Would give him 0 stars if I could. Tacked on a $250 charge for cleaning, without notification and without just cause. Greedy Scumbag is a word too nice for this manager. Use a different rent a car service.

When I returned the vehicle I rented on a Sunday, there was only one vehicle/customer in front of me. Two employees immediately attended to me as I parked, walked around the car, mentioned nothing of any damages to me or to each other, and told me "thanks, you're good to go". THE NEXT DAY on a Monday, Hertz made a claim through a third party for bumper "damages" i.e. a scratch. The pictures that they sent of the "damage" were taken the day after I returned the vehicle. I am positive that those "damages" happened to the vehicle after I had returned it to Hertz. The third party claims advisor communicated to me that the Hertz employees said they were "really busy so we didn't notice it until the next day". Bullsh*t. The fact that they did not document said "damages" until 24 hours after the car was in their possession and had a fake excuse for why is fraudulent behavior and unprofessional at best... I will NOT be taking responsibility. If you need to rent a car from the Boise Airport, DO NOT USE HERTZ.

They took over 500$ from my account for a cancellation reservation and was told the money would be back in my account the following day....it's been almost two weeks and everytime I call I get the run around and never get an answer to why they even took money for a cancellation that was cancel way before the reservation . UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TREAT YOU LIKE YOUR LYING TO THEM! NEVET RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!

I rented a car for a week from Hertz at the Boise Airport. Fours hour north of Boise on the freeway the tire blew out. After being on hold for 23 minutes with roadside assistance I hung up and changed the tire myself. I did not drive over anything and the hole was the size of a silver dollar on the side of the tire. I had to drive four hours on a donut tire that i had to put no while the car was on the shoulder of the highway. Hertz called me a month later to say they were charging me $351 for a new tire. The tire was a blowout and not caused by my driving it. To charge me for what was a dangerous situation caused by a defective tire is ridiculous and bad business. Avoid them and use other options!!

They do not participate in the points program. No Gold board and had to wait in line for 30 minutes late at night just to get a basic car. Do not rent from licensee Hertz locations. Not worth it.

I rent car there very frequent, customer service is ok but there is no upgrade for gold member there, and the counter closed very early at night. One time my flight got delayed and I called and talk to a gentleman at the counter and he said he would try to to wait for me, got there about 1 hr late around 1:30am and the counter was closed. I looked around and there were National, Avis and Budget were opened and wait for there late arrival customer and only one closed was Hertz, very disappointed and had to take a taxi to hotel. Wish my company don’t use Hertz as their refer car rental.

I have rented from Hertz for decades. Last month I rented in Denver and it was great. If you fly into Boise prepare to be disappointed. Poor service and dirty cars. There was mud and the remnants of a food fight in the back of the SUV. Being a Hertz #1 member means nothing. Might as well rent from the cheapest company there because Hertz doesn't deliver service with the higher cost. Very disappointed.

Booked a four day rental through American Express and picked up and returned car with no issues but when I received the email receipt it showed two days of my four day rental as extra days at nearly twice the quoted price. I rarely look closely at these bill and assume no one else does since this Hertz location thinks it can get away with such sleazy practices.

I would like to give a huge shout out to Garrett and Sydni. First off I thought Garrett was the owner of the business the way he handled our situation was next level, he represented the company with wonderful hospitality and professionalism. Who ever hired Gerrett made a very smart decision. Come to find out Sydni was a new hire. 4 days in we could never tell she was very professional and handled everything with accuracy and care. My friend that was renting the car was from out of state so there was a few hurdles for her. Budget and enterprise has generally been my go to. Hertz has earned our business and loyalty. Thank you, Gerrett and Sydney for your help and the pleasant experience you provided for us.

I had to miss a trip on 12/18 due to covid. I called the airport desk to ask them to allow my son to take the car, even though the registration was in my name. No. Absolutely not. So they took my money, then let me know that my son could come and pay them again for another reservation.
