I know they are short-staffed and in dire need of workers, but if a position involves face-to-face transactions then the people filling these jobs must be able to perform that basic function. It is time for cashiers to remove the masks, put smiles on their faces, make eye contact and resume business as usual. The excuse that it's "their choice" doesn't cut it. There is a dress code prohibiting bathing suits and political garb; it must also include anonymized, dehumanized and depersonalized "invisibility shields". If these folks can't face their unmasked customers then they should be kept out of sight in the stockroom or let go entirely. They should NOT, however, be allowed to continue sending and reinforcing the message that the customers are a danger requiring special protection. From a management standpoint it's also a recipe for conflict to allow the formation of factions within a workforce. Given that some of the employees are unmasked while others are clearly threatened by them, there is potential for festering grievances, resentments and rivalries.

For many years I'd come here to get away and end up walking away with gems. It's no longer a place I visit. It's become ridiculous. February lines to the back of the store the two times I tried. If I found something, I ended up leaving because with young kids I couldn't wait.

We need a much larger stand alone HomeGoods. Lines in this store are ridiculous!! Need one in Meridian. We certainly have the population to support a new store.
