I brought my lab in for his 2nd day of daycare and my VERY shy cattle dog for a meet & and greet, and they both seemed very happy and comfortable. During the CDs meet & greet, I could hear the facilitator praising and encouraging him. And I got several updates on how he was doing before I left, and his first day began. The staff are all very kind and friendly. There are windows in the lobby where you can see part of the big dog play area, and I've seen staff loving on the pups. I know for a fact that other local facilities charge extra for 1 on 1 attention/ snuggles. The drop-in policy makes it so easy. I used to have to make appointments a few days ahead of time and dro off or pick up during certain windows. Which is fine until something unexpected comes up.Also, I'm sure what's done differently here, but my lab is SO much calmer both arriving and leaving than he has been at any other facility (2 in the TV and one whileon vacation). Normally, he starts barking when we pull into the lot and practically pulls my arm off to get inside. When leaving, he drags the attendant, and body slams me. At Idaho Dog Park, he's definitely excited to get there but doesn't get over-aroused. He walks calmly into the building and then back to the intake room.I'm very grateful I found a daycare that provides a safe, healthy environment for my pups when I need to leave them.

Our dogs love Idaho Dog Park and we felt comfortable leaving them there for boarding for their first time away. We’re glad to have a safe place where they are loved and well cared for when we need to be away from home!

An Outstanding Canine Haven: Idaho Dog ParkI cannot speak highly enough of Idaho Dog Park—an exceptional haven for our beloved Rottweiler, Rose. Over the past eight months, our experience with this establishment has been nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we stepped foot into the park, we knew we had found a true gem.The staff at Idaho Dog Park, particularly Laura, Keana, and Katie, have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Their dedication and genuine love for animals are evident in every interaction. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that Rose receives the utmost care and attention. Being just a year old, Rose occasionally displays some behavior that needs correction, and we're grateful for the team's commitment to guiding her towards being a well-mannered lady. Their expertise and patience have been invaluable. What truly sets Idaho Dog Park apart is the warmth and enthusiasm with which they welcome Rose each and every time. It warms our hearts to witness their genuine joy as they engage with her, play with her, and shower her with affection. The love they have for our furry friend is palpable, and it instills in us a sense of comfort and peace of mind. Knowing that Rose is in their capable hands during her day at the park is truly reassuring. The environment at Idaho Dog Park is simply outstanding. The facilities are well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of our four-legged companions. The spacious play areas allow dogs to roam freely and engage in stimulating activities, ensuring they have a fantastic time socializing and burning off their energy. It's evident that the team at Idaho Dog Park has created an environment that fosters a genuine sense of happiness and well-being for all dogs fortunate enough to visit.I wholeheartedly recommend Idaho Dog Park to all dog owners seeking a remarkable experience for their furry family members. The care and attention provided by Laura, Kiana, Katie, and the entire team are unparalleled. They treat each dog as if it were their own, going above and beyond to ensure their happiness, comfort, and safety. At Idaho Dog Park, your furry friend will receive the love, nurturing, and care they deserve, and perhaps even more.Idaho Dog Park is a haven where dogs become part of a loving community, and we couldn't be more grateful to have found it. Trust them with your precious pup, and you'll discover a place that exceeds all expectations. Five stars are simply not enough to convey our immense satisfaction and gratitude for the outstanding experience we've had at Idaho Dog Park.

We were at another local doggie daycare before switching to Idaho Dog Park. It has been a much better experience, and our dogs like it much more

So my dog has never done daycare or boarding, and because it's just him and I at home, he didn't have much experience with other people or animals. I was apprehensive about how he would handle a new experience like this and hoped it wouldn't be too much for him. So I researched facilities for weeks before settling in two I felt would be good options. One thing that locked in IDP on my list is they require two daycare sessions before you can board. That makes me feel like they're less likely to have a dog with serious behavioral issues slip through the cracks since they've been able to observe them for a longer window.I tried Idaho Dog Park first, and I can say right off the bat it's a very positive experience. People answering the phones are very friendly & knowledgeable, and coming in person is the same experience. You'll wait while they do an initial 15 minute evaluation to check for any major issues, then if you get the green light, your dog can spend the day in daycare for the full evaluation. They have a very nice facility that's easy to find with lots of ample parking. That was one downside to the other place I tried is parking was pretty tight and their facility was smaller. I didn't tour the kennel area, but they had a lot of pictures on their site and they look nice too and the facility as a whole was very clean. One thing the staff did note after both daycare sessions is my pup was a bit nervous/skittish at times and would try to dart out doors or past staff. I'm not sure why this is, because the other facility didn't notice this behavior. However, they both have a different introduction process and different set of dogs, so he might just do better with one over the other. That's really the only downside I saw, but I'm sure as time goes on he will become more comfortable there. So overall, I really loved both facilities and will definitely be taking my pup back to both in the future. IDP definitely left a great impression and I'm really glad I came across them!

Update as of 8/23/23:Initially, I chose to rate IDP a 3/5 because despite issues 1&2 below I continued to send my dogs there. However, following accusations from IDP that I lied or “fabricated” my review, I have since chosen to update my rating from 3 stars to 2 stars.——I sent my two dogs here for several years for doggy daycare (with several 30 pack purchased packages) and many times with boarding. The staff is friendly, but inconsistent and very disorganized.1) There was one incident where the staff gave me the wrong dog. One of my dogs is a female golden retriever. Upon getting my two dogs they handed me a golden retriever male. However, I was in such a hurry to pick my kids up from an activity that it wasn’t until I was walking out to the parking lot that I realized it wasn’t my dog. They put her collar on the male dog.2) It doesn’t seem that the facility is adequately cleaned. Aside from the extreme smell of dog upon entering the facility (I’ve been to many dog daycares that don’t smell like dog), on multiple occasions I picked up one of my dogs with fecal matter all over him. While I was understanding initially, it was very frustrating when it happened on multiple occasions. It was also upsetting that I had to point out that my dog was dirty with fecal matter and needed to be cleaned. I don’t know if staff is not cleaning the facility up as quickly as they should or what is going on.3) The final strike, however, was a sudden recommendation from the staff that my golden retriever (who had been attending for several years) be sent to special training because she was “too submissive”. I was told initially that we could try again to see how she would do. After sometime, my husband called in advance to arrange sending her again, and was then told that she would only be welcomed back if she was sedated with medication. To my knowledge none of the staff is trained in veterinary medicine or are certified dog trainers. Moreover, my dogs had just completed an intensive dog training program with extreme success at a different facility in Boise.I was unwilling to sedate my dog, so they said she could no longer attend. Fortunately, however, Idaho dog park was willing to refund me for the rest of the package I purchased.

We love IDP and so does our grandpup! The facilities are fantastic, so comfy, clean, and fun. But the biggest asset they have are their employees. They are always so welcoming and act like they are so happy to see Jake. It makes us feel good to leave him there, and he is so excited every single time we pull up in front of the building. They are also extraordinary quick to check-in and check-out so if you are on your way to or from work you will not be delayed.
