Don't work in a place that sells toys if you can't tolerate children.

Worst manager ever. I have worked retail for 20 years and i have never experienced anything like this. I bought a pump that never worked when i plugged it in. It was past their 7 day return policy, and i lost the reciept, but it had a tag on the pump and the same one on the box so it should have been obvious i purchased it with the youth ranch. Instead of being pleasant and maybe offering a gift card or something, she was short, and irritated. I feel that if things are donated you should make sure theu work before selling them. Its just me but offering something is better than losing a customer forever. I have spent thousands of dollars at the youth ranch over the past 20 years. I will never be spending my money at the youth ranch and i will always have this story when thrifting comes up in conversation.

We have donated for years at this location. Today we came to drop off items, one being a potty training toilet that is sanitized, lights up and plays music. Perfect for toddlers & families saving money. A gentleman took all items except the potty. He just threw it in the trash… it’s totally fine if you can’t except an item, maybe just let the person know so they can take it to another donation center or shelter? My husband was a little shocked and said “ I guess you can’t take that” to which the gentleman said “ no we aren’t a baby store.” Next to the donation signs that says “you aren’t just donating you are changing a children’s life…” I thought a family could certainly use it but if not at least be a tactful, give it back to the person and let them decide or at least COMMUNICATE and not have an attitude while doing so.Very disappointing. We have always donated but have not had an experience like this

Great prices. Great selection always. This particular store has a wonderful antiques section. They have great prices on jewelry and some new items as well. And they round up each dollar to go towards youth programs. This is my favorite thrift store in the Boise area.

It's a decent size store with a good range of second hand items. It also has discounts based on tag color.

This location is having an identity crisis, and has forgotten that it is a THRIFT store! As an Idahoan, I would prefer to continue supporting The Youth Ranch through dozens of donations and purchases each year, but I’m officially done. It’s Goodwill for me from now on. I have given this location multiple chances, but I find the $20.99 Nike sports bra with the logo peeling off the front to be insulting. Also the basic $17.99 New Balance leggings. Anything with a name brand seems to be doubled or tripled in price. Even puzzles are grossly overpriced. 8 out of 10 things that I actually considered buying today were shockingly overpriced.

Every time I come here it's closed despite the store hours sign saying they're open. Show up at six, says it closes at eight, already closed. At least put a sign on the door saying you closed early.

Tried to donate some items and was told that they were closed. Even though I had called first and was told that the donation times were between 12 and 2. Got there at 12:20. The rude young lady at the cash register said that they closed because they were overwhelmed., and to come back at 1. I said but you close at 2 and said that just what they tell people so that they don't have a rush before they get off. Really that was the first and last time I go there

Have unsuccessfully tried to donate here twice. First time was on 7/1 and inside the store they said they were accepting donations and to drive around back. Drove around and was told by the person in back that no they are closed due to high heat. That’s fine, I’ll try again another day. Was a little annoyed that they then accepted donations from the car behind me but it’s fine. Today, 7/10, I called first at 4:45p and was told they accept donations until 5:30. Drove there and arrived at 5:05p and was told by the lady in the back that they actually close at 5 regardless of what whoever answered the phone said and also they are closed due to high heat anyways. It is 85 degrees! Warm but not high heat warning high. Please get everyone on the same page because getting different answers from every person that is working there is frustrating.
