I have went to Jackson Hewitt the past couple years because they give loans... This year I went to file my 2023 taxes they did give me the holiday loan $300 dollars .. went back to file when I got my W2 for the refund advance. They charged me over $700 to do them then denied my loan... That's the reason I went to them and was willing to pay that much. So I go tell the lady jill who did them and told her I wanted to cancel and wanted my money back. She said she had to get a hold of her boss... So she did. The boss lady (who's very rude and unprofessional btw) said there's no way to cancel them. She gave me the bosses number and I was messaging with her going back and forth I told her irs wasn't even accepting them at that point what did she mean I can't cancel?? She sent me a last message and said that talking to me was pointless and she was blocking my number. So I chopped it up as a loss... Now it's April 10th 2024 and I still haven't received my federal refund. I got my state a couple weeks after filing and guess what Jackson Hewitt took my whole state to pay their ridiculous fees!!!! I spoke with IrS yesterday and the lady told me to amend my taxes... So I did (not thru Jackson) called and spoke to Jill about amending and getting a refund. She told me she was calling the boss again (who mind you.. blocked me) and the boss would call me back i said well she blocked me last time we spoke and jill said shed call if her boss didnt. Still no call or help or resolution to any of it... Horrible customer service and a nightmare experience. Run the other way n Don't use these guys or if you do be prepared for it...
