I found out the diamonds were, in fact, glass, so Alex came up with a solution to replace the glass jewels with gold, and it turned out beautifully. “I was lucky enough to stumble upon this business upon moving to the area. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew that all the stores I went to seemed to be a bit too sterile and opportunistic, Marvin is the type of person you want when selling or buying precious metals... you don't want a money guy cause' their priority is profit margin - and you don't want a pawn broker cause they deal with too many shady transactions not to be a little shady themselves... What you want a metallurgist and an assayer. Marvin is exceptional at both. His priority is based in the scientific method, in weight and purity which are absolutes, so you get no BS. Beyond that he and his wife are very kind and knowledgeable. Instead of taking my personal, valuable belongings and slamming them on a counter, trying to low ball me and rushing me out the door with a bad deal... Marvin explains the process by which he determines purity, shows you his methods, and never pushes a sale. I learned quite a bit during our appraisal appointment and coming from a mineral exploration background myself, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with this. I've checked all around and, Marvin's prices are the best in the region. I can honestly say that going anywhere else to do this sort of business would be a mistake. Friendly, Professional, Transparent. Informative and the Best Deals in town, hands sown!”

“I am impressed with how this store handled a very sensitive situation. I sent my ring in for a repair and it was intercepted in transit by the courier. They handled the incident with compassion and understanding. The replaced my stolen ring with an upgrade and even more beautiful ring. The ring that was stolen was my wedding ring with a lot of memories and sentimental value that could not be replaced. But they were communicative and caring. I recommend Helzeberg Jewelers for any jewelry needs Don and Julie were simply the best. The ring on the holder is the replacement. The one in the hand is the old one.”

“I just got home from Jared Jewelers and I can honestly say that was the best retail experience my husband and I have ever had. We went in because the clasp on my gold bracelet was loose and would unhook easily. The staff was kind, prompt and I was shocked there were able to fix it in less than 10 minutes. While we were browsing as they fixed it, we overheard the staff be kind to every single customer, even remembering some of them as returning clients. You don’t get this type of service or experience these days. We were blown away to say the least and will be back.”
“This was my first visit, and I saw this BEAUTIFUL coat there and i originally wasn't going to buy it but i couldnt stop thinking about it for the next two days, so i called in and asked if they still had it and this very nice lady told me they did, so i came in to buy it and i was so excited and my cashier (same lady on the phone) was just as excited and enthusiastic for me. We rung it up and turns out i was just a few dollars short, she immediately offered help and grabbed her manager, and they gave me a few coupons to lower the price. 10/10!!! “I've been shopping at this store since 2013 and R. Grey Gallery is the best jewelry store in downtown and the Boise, Idaho area. After visiting all of the stores in the Boise area, I realized that finding a good jewelry store was not an easy task in Boise, so I am glad that I found this hidden gem. Their staff is super helpful, and I always leave this place with a smile on my face. “The best place for local art and gifts! Find everything from painting to glass to handcrafted jewelry! All of the work is made by local Idaho artists. High quality art in a beautiful setting. Every First Thursday they have an opening reception for a different Featured Artist and live entertainment. There is even a wonderful little gift shop.I love that the art is switched out every month so there is always something new to see! It is staffed by the artists so be sure to ask what they do to get to hear a little about their process. The new location downtown is beautiful, has easy access and plenty of free parking too!”
