Awesome customer service. The worker helped me find the right shoe and fit to help with my plantar fasciitis, and was really informative.
When my shoe started peeling due to defect they gave me no trouble immediately replacing them, which was a quick and simple process.
Great local run company, even though it's a big name! Go support the only New Balance store here in Idaho, they're great folks!

New Balance really nails the comfort game. I used to think they were just “dad shoes,” but after trying a pair, I totally get the hype. Supportive, durable, and surprisingly stylish—especially some of the newer designs. Great for long days on your feet or casual walks. The store was easy to shop, and the staff actually helped me find the right fit instead of just pointing at shelves. Not flashy, but functional in the best way. Feels like they’re made to be worn, not just looked at.

The manger / service rep Bennie Miller at the Meridian Idaho store was an exceptional experience to work with. He did a an above excellent job to help resolve my issue.

The man who I got to meet with at the New Balance store was really nice to me and my wife and he took the time to listen to me talk about how my right foot has a tendency to get pretty swollen during the hot summer months and regardless of what I do to combat the swelling it changes very little with how swollen it gets. He understood my need for a new shoe that had plenty of extra room in the toe box to accommodate my foot. He set about looking at my foot and then said that he thought that they had a shoe that was a 6E width and went to look for it. He came back with two different shoes that we tried on my foot to see which one actually had the larger toe box. There was only the one shoe that fit my foot and felt comfortable enough for me to feel like I could wear the shoe for a longer period of time and still be comfortable with out binding or pinching the instep of my foot. Luckily the shoe he had was the correct size and actually did have a large toe box that up to then I was not able to find a shoe that fit me that wasn’t two or three sizes too large for my foot and yet had the room I needed. I was also lucky in the sense that this particular shoe was the ONLY ONE THEY HAD IN THE STORE! He said that that model was an older version that was not available anymore so even if I’d needed a different size they would not have been able to order it since Now Balance had discontinued the model!! So I guess it was providence that brought me to this store on that day to meet the sales person who knew what they had in stock and would fit me perfectly. He also was able to give me a military discount price for the shoe and since it was a close out item he was willing to give me a little bit more of a discount!! My wife and I left the store very much satisfied with the price and the shoe. We both commented that the man who helped us was a very knowledgeable person who knew the product, listened to my concern and condition of my foot and truly understood my needs and with his knowledge base of not only the product line but also knew what they had available to satisfy the requirements of my foot and the price range I had to work with. I just wish now that I was able to recall the man’s name so I could add it to this post!! With a little bit of research and looking at the employees that work there someone might find out who he was and maybe post his name to my comment section.
My sincere thanks to him for his help and the time he spent with me on my need for a new shoe.

This review is about the shoes themselves and not the store. I have been buying New Balance shoes for a few years now, and every single year, they are falling apart within that year. It's been 12 months since the last pair, and the soles are literally duct-taped to the top of the shoe. Lest you think I put a lot of wear and tear on them, I am a 62-year-old woman in poor health and don't do much more than strenuous than walking short distances. Last year's pair will be my last pair. There's also no way to contact them with a general complaint other than by phone. Interesting.

The store would get a 5 star rating. As for New Balance shoes, I'm currently a slight bit disappointed. I used to give the 990 and 993 a 5 star rating due to the stability bar that used to be in the soles of both of them (bought several pairs of both since 2009 and literally NEVER wore any other shoe since then). When they started making all the other shoes with just foam in the soles, I hoped and prayed they would never change the 990 or 993. My hopes have been dashed and my confidence in these shoes is reduced. They used to last several months or more before the stability would start to break down. Now it's only 3-4 months. Changing the make of their two most popular and most comfortable made in USA shoes was a bad decision. People come to expect that the shoe they like will be the same time after time. It saddens me that this is no longer true with New Balance, as I have been a faithful customer for 16 years and literally NEVER wore any other athletic shoe. Bring back the stabilization bar in the sole on the 990 and 993.

Bought new balance socks couple of washes already wearing, if socks can't hold up why buy shoes at those prices are they going to fall apart to after a couple of walks

It would have been nice to at least try on some shoes but we waited over 30 min and we were never even acknowledged in the store. The store was empty and there was two people working, when was with someone helping them out. The other man rang someone up and went in the back, and never came out while we sat there and waited.Just a simple “will be right with you “ from the worker helping the other customers would have been nice.Guess we’ll take our business somewhere else.They missed out on the sale of 3+ shoes we went in for.I’ll never return to this store. And I’ll tell everyone I know not to waste their time going here.
