Old Fashioned Fruit & Veg is an open-air produce market with fresh, seasonal, local produce at low prices. It has three locations: two in Boise and one in Kuna. The market carries other local food products like salsa, milk, kettle corn, honey, jam, cheese, beef, nuts, pies, chips, cookies, bread, and hummus. It is open seven days a week, from 9 AM to 7 PM. The produce is fresh, delicious, and outstanding in variety and quality, featuring items like heirloom tomatoes, pumpkins, morel mushrooms, local purple asparagus, and berries. There are great deals, including awesome $1 bags and berry deals per flat. It is mostly local product, supporting local farmers and family businesses. Employees are super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, with the same faces seen each year. Customers highly recommend everything, calling it the best produce stand seen in Idaho. It is a sure sign of spring when the stand opens, and customers love the pumpkins in the fall and Christmas trees in the winter.
Love their fresh produce. This is a must stop if you are in the area. Lots to choose from and friendly staff. Never been disappointed and been going for 3 years now at least monthly.
