“Used the dog self wash pet spa and had a great experience! I was worried about parking downtown but was glad to find they’re located right next door to a parking garage entrance so it was super convenient. The staff are very knowledgeable and kind, and their freeze dried treat and food selection is immense. Great store!”
“Fish aquariums and stuff is a wonderful store. The people here are very friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful selection of freshwater fish and even have a good assortment of plants, which is hard to find in the valley. They have everything you need to set up a freshwater, planted, or saltwater aquarium.Their saltwater selection is great for fish in all price ranges and rarity and hardware, they even have a second hand section where I got a protein skimmer for super cheap. They have lots of SPS and a couple of LPS corals, but not a ton of softies.Overall this place is wonderful and if you are looking for a store that has it all, fresh, planted and salt aquariums this is your place.”

I know my pups are safe and happy and I don't have to worry. And I love that they come home smelling just like I left them. They are in a clean and healthy environment. Kudos to The Dog House. “I have bought many items from quality cage crafters. Cage ledges, cage pans and even chinchilla treats. All of their items have been high quality and way better than what I've gotten in the past from similar stores. Since I found them I doubt I would buy anything for my chinchilla anywhere else unless they do not sell what I'm looking for.”

“I really wish there was a PetSmart closer to where I live. Having said that, it appears my girlfriend and enjoy giving petsmart our patronage over the other major pet store. We bring both her Great Pyrenees and my Chihuahua here for grooming. The litter for the self-cleaning cat box, the wet food, the dry food, not to mention toys and treats... brands that only Petsmart carries all of. Yeah, we pamper our pets, but they're each around 200 years old in pet years; they've earned it. Except the cat. Yeah... The cat has been acting 4 years old for 3 years running, but he might be ADHD, so he probably deserves a break, too.
Don't get all PETA on me. I'm clearly ADHD, so I recognize a kindred soul when I see one.”

“Since I moved to Boise over 20 years ago, I have been amazed with Zamzows as a place to get all of my living things and their accessories. Their plants have great variety, price and health and even moreso their pet department takes the greatest care of the animals while they await their new homes. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. I have had many snakes, pet rats, ferrets, parakeets, and fish from Zamzows and found them all to be way healthier and more socialized than the pets that I have purchased at other stores.Jared at the State street location has been one of my all time favorite staff members. His passion and knowledge of the animals is inspiring and contagious. I more recently decided to get a more sophisticated bird than the parakeets I have cared for. His honesty and experience with birds gave me the confidence that I was making the best choice in my new adventure. It allowed me to know I was being careful not to get into more bird than I could handle but the right bird for my desires and skill level. It is very apparent that his top priority is ensuring the humans and animals find the union that is best suited for both of their wellbeing. I could not have been happier with the bird I chose and valued his suggestions and tips even after I got her.As a teenager my family owned a small pet food and supply store in a small town. The amount of care and learning I put into the products left me feeling a bit saddened by most other stores I have been to since. Although it is a larger company with several locations in the valley, it seems they put great focus on ensuring that their staff maintains the "local" small town store service with exceptional training. Their prices are competitive with the larger chain stores, but their products are fresher and often with healthier selections to choose from.”

I had all my questions answered by the knowledgeable and professional employees, was showed around the store without rushing, and days later when I had a couple items to return, the ladies were super friendly, helpful and won our business with their great customer service.”
“Employees helped me find the dog tags AND helped me work the machine. The man helping me noticed my puppy needed to be groomed. He said as soon as she gets her rabies shot she can come in and that the whole grooming team would treat her like a rock star! This made me feel better because I was worried that a squirmy puppy might be treated poorly for not standing still. Very nice team!”
