“Fish aquariums and stuff is a wonderful store. The people here are very friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful selection of freshwater fish and even have a good assortment of plants, which is hard to find in the valley. They have everything you need to set up a freshwater, planted, or saltwater aquarium.Their saltwater selection is great for fish in all price ranges and rarity and hardware, they even have a second hand section where I got a protein skimmer for super cheap. They have lots of SPS and a couple of LPS corals, but not a ton of softies.Overall this place is wonderful and if you are looking for a store that has it all, fresh, planted and salt aquariums this is your place.”
“Wow just discovered this place due to a ad on the radio. The quality of food is top notch and the owner is a really nice lady and omg her dogs are awesome. This place has got my business even though I live in Nampa it is worth the drive. My wife is very picky about how she feeds our dogs and she was really impressed with this shop. “I have bought many items from quality cage crafters. Cage ledges, cage pans and even chinchilla treats. All of their items have been high quality and way better than what I've gotten in the past from similar stores. Since I found them I doubt I would buy anything for my chinchilla anywhere else unless they do not sell what I'm looking for.”

“Since I moved to Boise over 20 years ago, I have been amazed with Zamzows as a place to get all of my living things and their accessories. Their plants have great variety, price and health and even moreso their pet department takes the greatest care of the animals while they await their new homes. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. I have had many snakes, pet rats, ferrets, parakeets, and fish from Zamzows and found them all to be way healthier and more socialized than the pets that I have purchased at other stores.Jared at the State street location has been one of my all time favorite staff members. His passion and knowledge of the animals is inspiring and contagious. I more recently decided to get a more sophisticated bird than the parakeets I have cared for. His honesty and experience with birds gave me the confidence that I was making the best choice in my new adventure. It allowed me to know I was being careful not to get into more bird than I could handle but the right bird for my desires and skill level. It is very apparent that his top priority is ensuring the humans and animals find the union that is best suited for both of their wellbeing. I could not have been happier with the bird I chose and valued his suggestions and tips even after I got her.As a teenager my family owned a small pet food and supply store in a small town. The amount of care and learning I put into the products left me feeling a bit saddened by most other stores I have been to since. Although it is a larger company with several locations in the valley, it seems they put great focus on ensuring that their staff maintains the "local" small town store service with exceptional training. Their prices are competitive with the larger chain stores, but their products are fresher and often with healthier selections to choose from.”
“We got this Bumble Bee Betta, he'd been sitting in his little cup for three months. We also picked up a floating moss ball and some dwarf hair grass. It's all doing good and the betta, Percy, is happy enough to be making bubble nests! All in all, this Petco had a good selection.”
