To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the customer service and delivery options I experienced with your company.
While I appreciate the quality of your furniture, my overall experience was severely tarnished by the poor service I received. Specifically, I was unable to obtain a clear statement outlining my order details and payments.
Furthermore, I found your delivery policy to be inflexible and inconvenient. Despite spending over $30,000, my request for a split delivery was denied in favor of a single delivery, which was clearly driven by cost-saving measures at the expense of customer convenience.
This experience has left me deeply disappointed, and as a result, I will not be ordering from your company again.

I rarely leave reviews, but needed to share a positive experience. A lot of these reviews are regarding shipping and I have had my fair share of delayed shipping at pottery barn. However, the last two times I have had issues I’ve gone into the Boise store and the ladies working were awesome in figuring out what was the cause of the delay and resolved the problem. Most recently, I believe her name was Terry, was helpful in figuring out status of furniture order. Order status said it wouldn’t be delivered until July (I ordered in May). However, I received a call this morning and my furniture will be here Thursday. Don’t call customer service, if you have an issue and you live in Boise, these ladies are so helpful! Far better than customer service. Always a pleasant shopping experience at this store.

I ordered 3 different sized vases for my fireplace mantel. They arrived in 3 separate orders. The second box I received had 4 of the same sized vases in it. I had only ordered 1 and was only charged for 1. I returned all of the vases I had received and was telling the clerk that I had received 3 extra. She didn’t respond, only had her head down looking at the computer, so I repeated my statement. No response or acknowledgment from her. When I was going to reiterate myself, she said “ I heard you “, with an angry tone. She obviously was irritated by me, I was just returning items that were their mistake. Such poor customer service and I have never been treated so rudely in any store. Done with your arrogance and overpriced products. I should have just kept them all. So much for honesty.

They do not stand by their stuff. Bought a couch for our vacation home. 2 months use and it’s already showing signs on wear. We are 2 adults, no pets. Refuse to do anything. Cushion inserts won’t come back to form and material has a bunch of strings coming out. Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else.

We bought a carpet to be delivered to McCall. Told it was in stock & would delivered by late November. Paid over $400 for delivery for “white glove delivery” which we were told included laying the carpet down inside the house. We made the decision to pay for the delivery even though we thought the price was outrageous. Delivery was changed several times but had to cal to find out what as happening. Finally a couple weeks ago we were called by a delivery company but told they could not move the dining table. Received terrible follow-up customer service including promise to call with solution but we always had to call back. People were nice saying they would help but did not execute. Broken promises, poor customer service and misinformation on what I would get. No more Potter Barn products for us.

When I walked in with my 3 month old baby who was SLEEPING, the two ladies working there told me that they don’t allow kids and kicked me out.

FORGET about making an online order for very expensive (overpriced?) furniture. Three months later and no indication when I will receive order. Bad business model.

Recently purchased the Parker media console. Also love the quality. I am deciding on a round dining table, that will be my next purchase! It is a little frustrating to have such a long wait for furniture but once it is received, it's worth the wait!

I am strongly suggesting not to shop at Pottery Barn for the following reasons. They let their subcontractors drive their business model and their customer satisfaction. They make no accommodations to the customer to ensure they provide timely service. Customers pay a premium for the products provided by this company and are required to wait for delivery long after original due date. POTTERY BARNS subcontractor damaged a chair I was supposed to receive in December 2022 and now they are stating I won't receive a replacement until April 2023. How am I being treated? When I called they didn't tell me it was damaged and I called customer service six times and they said they couldn't help me. In fact, they agreed to call me back and many times did not, including a manager. Really?!? Is that a good business model for a company? Anyway, I'd rather work with a company that does not use their subcontractors as an excuse for poor service and is open and honest with their customers. Very dissatisfied!
