I had bought a new house and needed a patio cover. ShadeWorks were not only the cheapest, but also one of the easiest companies I have ever worked with. they were fast, efficient, caring, and very clean. The sales staff and work crew were so kind and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.

From beginning to end, the process was made to feel personal. When Shadeworks came out to quote the job, they went over everything in great detail. Probably the nicest crew I think I’ve ever worked with. Always professional and clean workmanship. This is my third house and third time I’ve had them out… wouldn’t choose any other company!

My wife and I had a new patio cover installed this past week. The initial impressions from Kevin and the sales team were great; they we very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. The price they quoted us for the work was competitive with others we'd been given.
The installation itself is where we ran into issues. The patio cover was attached to the eaves of my house by screwing into a 2x4 that runs the length of my eaves and is bracketed to my rafters. I noticed that every screw they put into the 2x4 had split it. When asked about it, the installers said it was normal and not to worry. So they finished up work and boarded everything back up. After a bit of research, I decided that this is very much not normal or acceptable. I reached out to their customer service team who connected me with Cody, their construction manage. Cody was great and receptive to my concerns. They had the team back out within a couple days and they fixed the damage as best as could be expected without tearing into my eaves to replace the whole 2x4 by sistering additional 2x4 blocks to the damaged one and (correctly this time) drilling pilot holes then screwing the patio cover into the reinforced board. Also, there was an issue with a board on our house that was damaged and replaced without telling us... the only reason I noticed is because it was now a completely different color than the rest of my home. Cody did offer to have it repainted after it was brought to his attention, but that this point I was just concerned about the structural issues.
Overall, I would say we had a negative experience. The finished product does look great, but the installation still has a bad taste in my mouth. My wife and I are grateful that Cody was so responsive and helpful to remedy the situation. My advice to anybody considering using this company is to just make sure you are checking their work, because my wife and I would have never known until something broke x years from now. I will include photos of the issues and the fix so people can see what I was talking about.

We recently moved into a new community and looked at several of the patio covers being put in. Shade works were the best looking by far, they looked custom, and better made than the others we saw. They work with you every step of the way from the planning to the finished product. They kept us informed during the entire process, and once started it was done in 2 days. I would highly recommend going with shade works.
