Everyone in this entire company hates their job AND their customers. .. both with good reason. They consistently overpromise and undedeliver, and they are grossly understaffed. Hence, every customer phone call or contact that isn't someone buying is someone complaining.
So you can't blame the employees for being useless... I would hate it and be useless, too.
Yet they have a monopoly in the area, so we stay and we pay.
ADDED: I finally got someone helpful on the phone. She fixed their screwed up billing, got us faster service, and cut my bill in half.
She couldn't fix that I can't have my vacation home on the same account as my main. Must have two separate logins. Sparklight is stuck somewhere in the 90s. No good systems software engineer would dream of working there. If you get your degree in computer science, you want to work someplace doing something cool... definitely not a cable company.

I have had Sparklight for over 3 years now. It was almost always great, until about September 2024. There have been outages multiple times a week, when I was in the middle of work. Tech support did not help either online on on-site. If you need reliability, regardless of the time, this is not the company for you.

Sam installed the modem where I wanted it located very neatly. He even took down some of the old cabling.

Paid for the most expensive package took them 2 weeks to actually set it up, then got it set up and internet was running a 10th of the speed we were promised, called support got someone in Alabama and was transferred to hold after waiting an hour, at this point we will be requesting them to get this Garbage out of our home and a full refund...this is not what we paid for, this place should be sued for false advertising I've lived in 6 different states this is the worst internet service I've had anywhere. Before you waste your money please read the bad reviews, they speak the truth. We are running at 9mbps
Update: they won't even get a technician out here for a whole week from now....we've paid for a month of service that we aren't getting, basically getting robbed by this internet company it looks like....I dont know whether to laugh, scream or cry, I'm in shock at how staggeringly awful this whole experience has been. The fact that I missed an event I've waited forever to see and hooked up this internet specifically for just makes it that much more awful...I don't believe in my 35 years of life I've ever received such awful service from any company of any kind. Cannot stress enough how awful this experience has been and I hope people read this review and take it to heart before someone else gets charged up front for a month of service they won't receive.

My experience so far with sparklight internet has been me trying to track down the company because they didn't show up at the time I scheduled with them. They show up 2 weeks after my scheduled appointment. Install my internet. Then I do a speed test and the speeds are 1/100th of what I'm paying for. I sit on hold for 20 minutes only to get connected with a tech outside of my service area and can't access my account. I then get put on hold for another 25 minutes to find a tech who could not find an issue. So they schedule someone to come out and fix the internet I've already pre paid for THREE WEEKS AFTER THE ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT THAT IVE PRE-PAID FOR. ONE WEEK AFTER IVE TALKED TO THE TECH OVER THE PHONE. If you have any other options I would recommend that you take them instead. Anything is better than paying for a service that bottom line is just not provided.

The Sparklight technician Rodney was extraordinary! we were struggling with getting our modem to connect and Rodney stopped by and discovered the bigger issue was that 3 out of 4 of our outlets were active and all had loose connections. He was able to figure out the issue by finding what direction the cables were going (upwards) and found that the splitter connections were in our crawl space. He swiftly determined which outlet would give us the best connection and unactivated the others for a faster connection! He was thorough and determined. Rodney is the definition of dedicated as we were his last stop before going home.

Installed the Sparklight connection today so will be watchful for next few days.
But, I have to mention that the services I got today were very pleasing.
@Sam S called me to confirm the appointment; he was here at said time; looked at the existing setup and troubleshoot to resolve the issue; helped me set the device and app.
Really happy with the person and services.

These guys are crooks and thieves. They put a 4.00 credit on my account last month due to an outage that lasted more than a day, then just charged me for this credit the next month. Check your statements people. Filed a complain with the BBB against Cable One (Sparklight).

Never sign up for Sparklight... they make it near impossible to deactivate your account or change any of the contact information. Seriously regretting my decision to try them out.
I also asked them to come move the line because I was getting a patio put in and they said that wasn't one of the services they offered... taking care of your line isn't in your services?
They are eager to help you sign up, but disappear as soon as you need maintenance or need to cancel. There is also no way for you to reach a local office. The phone number attached is a call center, good luck getting any help from that.
