The only issue was the TV did not work. It would not turn on. It was late enough that I didn't have them look at it. But it is nice to have everything work properly for guests.

Bathroom was clean. Carpet behind the nightstand needed vacuuming. Desk chair ripped. Waffle maker broken. Muffins were tasteless.

Took my booking, then refused all forms of payment i had, including cash, to pay deposit. I was forced to go elsewhere on short notice. Luckily America's best across the street is very accommodating. I say book somewhere else if you want a reliable experience.

Cleaner than most of the similarly rated hotels in this area. I am a little disappointed in the lack of complimentary toiletries. The shampoo bottle stuck to the shower wall seems lonely with the absence of soaps, conditioner or lotion. Also, why bother putting coffee cups in the rooms if none of them have coffee makers? The breakfast that was complimentary and yet included in the online reservation price was very poor. The waffle makers were off, the two kinds of instant oatmeal, the semi- stale cereal and the dried slices of bread left out for...toast?.....were not exactly appealing. Oh! The one lone little bran muffin didn't make up for the lack of options, either. That said, most of the staff are friendly and helpful, especially the front desk associates. All in all, not what it used to be but still better than those across the street.
Rooms: Mostly clean. The bathtub/ shower needed to be cleaned out before use and there were no coffee makers in the rooms. The paper thin blankets and tiny, sad little squares for pillows weren't exactly encouraging of a restful night. The furniture was clean, though. The sheets were fresh and the towels were stocked.
Nearby activities: Close to downtown businesses and events.
Safety: Well lit parking lot. Regularly patrolled by local police department.
Walkability: Kind of a highly trafficked area due to proximity to freeway entrance/exit and Airport.
Food and drinks: Breakfast was a sad, less than appealing offering. Not ALWAYS that way, though. There is a fast food Mexican restaurant in the parking lot and Applebee's across the street. The 24 hour gas station just across Vista was convenient as well.
Noteworthy details: The pool was alright, and the guest laundry is 24 hours and low priced. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Absolute nightmare booking a room here. Online price states $84 and the deposit of $50. a 3rd party agent will book with you & once paying the full bill upon arrival, I was asked to pay another $50 because the 3rd party did not communicate the front desk associate what was paid. I now paid $100 for an $84 room. All while being yelled at by an associate name Kyle to continue to pay the deposit now with a credit card or debit card because he doesn't have time to argue with me & has better things to do. Instead of contacting the agency to confirm, this associate continued to speak poorly and escalated the situation more than it needed to be. While I contacted the agency one more time to figure out why I'm being charged again, the associate ran my card without consent for the deposit again. This belittling little individual should try treating member of society like that off their shift someday. I'm sure a swift reality check is pressing around the corner. I will not be coming back & will never be giving this establishment my money again.

If I could give a negative star rating to Josh, the morning front desk clerk, I would rate him a negative 5.
A room with a shower that does not work should also have a negative 5 rating.
Rooms: Make sure the shower works before going to bed. It is infuriating to not have a working shower in the morning and a front desk clerk who couldn't care less.

Staff was great and the people are quiet and respectful. It was a great stay. When I looked it up it was less than the Stars but it shouldn’t be because I’ve stayed at those ones and this was nothing like that. Thank you for everything. I felt welcome and got some much needed rest, wish there was a hot tub though lol.
